Agree somewhat with the sentiment. CP3 is a great player, but Kobe really doesn't need CP3's assists. If it's just CP3's points; Pau + Odom certainly could have provided that. CP3 would be most valuable in a team with a very talented but young team IMO.

Its only one year beyond Paul's contract so they would be in the same situation next year. Anyway Gasol is the one being traded which is completely baffling, well not when you consider that the Hornets are owned by the NBA.
It is true. Sounds like CP3 to LA is finished. Now the Hornets are getting what they can from Houston for Gasol. LA wanted to take some on the side (got greedy). This has Les written all over it.
Agreed, but then the Lakers would have just traded Gasol/Odom to NOH for Chris Paul straight up, right? At least we get a top player out of it. Need to see if we're giving up anything else, though. Martin/Scola for Pau Gasol, to me, is a good trade.

Agreed. Martin is a good scorer, and I will always be a big Scola fan. But neither one is a superstar.
I'm calmer now. It's a good trade in the long run if it's just Scola and Martin. It gets us out of Scola's contract (which Morey never intended on keeping thanks to NJ). If this team goes back to 4-5 minutes cold streaks without scoring I'm ****ing done.
didnt CP3 say he wouldnt sign an extension with them? so they were going to deal him and go for it this year and thats it? interesting.
Wouldn't the Hornets have to give up more in the deal? Out with $27 mil, in with $17 million? (Or so?) Maybe Ariza to the Lakers, something else.
AND Martin!? What the hell... What is our squad going to look like? Lowry/Dragic Lee/??? Bud/T-Will/Morris Pat?/Hill Pau/Thabeet?? Looks terrible if you ask me.
