actually isnt it worse for the lakers? wouldnt they prefer to keep bynum? or is he too injury prone? i mean had to give up something, so odom isnt a surprise, but wouldnt they rather give up gasol? how old is gasol?
And for what it's worth...love the deal for the Hornets. Even if Paul wasn't going to bolt, Bynum and Odom is ridiculous return...both are great players.
Does this give them space to sign howard? If not, not sure this is any better for them...they may be taking a step back this season in hope of coming back strong next year? Gasol alone in the post isn't good for them.
Let me guess we couldnt make the deal happen because Morey was on KMARTS D*** and still thinks this guy can get us a ring. DAMMM!! why can't we ever get some real tallent. I mean NO got players.
Lakers were stale and had to do something to shake things up. CP3 is the 2nd best thing that could have happened. I would have been more upset if they got Howard. They go from being too big for most teams to having the best backcourt in the NBA. CP3 will make a new player out of Pau and keep him very satisfied with his touches. There may be some chemistry issues between CP3 and Kobe, but at age 33, Kobe should be grateful for someone who can make it easier for him to get easy looks. Now he won't have to create his shot so often but he'll have to make a big adjustment to playing off the ball. Correction: If this was for Gasol instead of Bynum, I'm madder than fire.
It's stuff like this that is honestly disgusting and really pushes me away from continuing my interest in the NBA The rich stay rich and the poor remain poor. The competitive balance of the league is all out of whack and to be honest it is extremely frustrating to be a fan of any team outside of the handful with continued success. /sigh
