Mark Williams' ceiling was starting to show, this is why Hornets put him up for sell. But for a center he should fill LAL's basic need. But lIke many centers these days, there will be matchups where he's played off the court. Between Knecht and M. Williams, time will tell who will have a longer career in the NBA.
I was refering to Mark on the defensive end. In certain situations Hornets coach started hiding him on a non shooter, like we do at times with Sengun. Mavs used to hide Luka. Teams also attack Austin in switches. Maybe their offense will be super turbo, but defensively they have work to do. Lakers do need a center, he at least give them a floor in that position. Hornets like Mark, but they didn't love him enough to keep him. They saw enough where they were willing to let him go. He also didn't come cheap from this trade.
