    Uh, I don't think kidrock8 is humbled. :D

    ZRB,
I'm not a Spurs fan. And they haven't won the champ yet. But they are going to win a championship or two sooner or later. I don't see how it has anything to do with the Rockets other than the Texas thing.

But if the Lakers won, they would have the bragging right of winning 4 straight which none other than Russell's Celtics had done. And worse, for the rest of your life, you'd have to hear people say Phil Jackson was the greatest coach ever because he broke Auerbach's record.

Which is the greater of two evils?

I never said the Lakers were not champs for the last 3 years (even though we all know last yr was a gift). I said that they were biaches, and tonight proved it. You need to realize there is a difference between displaying heart and winning (like coming back from a 3-1 deficit or winning with one superstar since you mention the Rockets) and winning simply because you are better than everyone else. When I reminisce about the past three years, there isn't one moment where I said...damn, this team has a lot of heart out there.

Mabye I'm biased, but during championship 1, I said, damn....the Blazers chocked. During championship 2, I said...this team is on a roll and hitting everything.....beating the crap out of everyone. During championship 3, I said......damn the refs are full of crap...don't just give it to em. This year, the same squad, with the same coach and players (minus Fox) got blasted on their home floor, and most importantly, THEY QUIT. Can you name any other squad that quit???

As far as comparing this current Rockets team to the championship squads....what sense would that make. Is their any player on this squad that was on that team??? I didn't think so. Last time I checked, the Lakers 3-peat has been centered around Kobe, Shaq and the refs (all three played this series).

Also, why would you not want the Spurs or Mavs to win (well, besides Cuban being the owner). Both teams are in Texas, and both teams are full of classy players. I guess you ould rather cheer for arrogant asses.

I think you can look at the Texas thing from two opposite angle: state rivalry or state pride.

It's kinda like how you look at your brother. Do you fight with your brother (because he always gets to your nerve at home) or do you fight with (alongside) your brother AGAINST an outside punk? I'd rather choose the latter if an outside punk exists.

    My point exactly.;)

I just can't believe the deep hatred many Rox fans pointed toward David Robinson, while you're team already have the fun of ruining his best year with Hakeem fantastic play.

Big Dave NEVER talks bad about your team, especially Hakeem. Nothing but outmost respect toward a great competitor from him, knowing the best man has won.

Just plain stupidity IMHO, these baseless hatred toward 50, truly CLASSLESS.

I would like to see Dallas win a ring a lot more than San Antonio. There is not a player on that team I like, not even Willis. Duncan is a whiny b**** posing as a calm, collected player. Robinson is a complete p***y, and a war-mongering Bush-Bible nut that makes me want to vomit whenever I look at him. Tony Parker is a stuck-up little freak, and Ginobili is being groomed to behave the same way. As for Greg ****ovich, his coaching style fills me with rage. He calls a timeout if his team is up 22, on a 15-0 run, with three minutes left in the fourth, and the opposition scores a basket. The guy calls so many timeouts, you'd swear that the officials gave him a few extra just to keep up with the pace. And his team's style of play is enough to put even the most rabid basketball fan to sleep.

Add to that the ****ty, cocky fans that sound like a bunch of fat men at a hot-dog convention, and the PA announcer that sounds like the town drunk in all the old westerns, and you can see why I wanted the Lakers to win so badly.

I have been rooting for the Lakers to lose in the playoffs for the last three years, but not to the f***ing Spurs. And that was only because I wanted to see a fresh champion in the league, not that I don't respect LA's style of play.

Please, please, GO SACRAMENTO! And if not them, GO DALLAS/ ****TY EASTERN TEAM!
