And Ray Allen picked it up in the 4th. I can't believe this turned into a beatdown. Tony Allen did quite well in place of Rondo even though he's not quite 100% back. The Celtics took the best the Jazz had to offer and won last night in Utah. Tonight, they were just too good for the Lakers, even without Rondo. Scary team right now but championships aren't won in December.
LAMAR ODOM IS A LIL b****! he just shoved ray allen into the scorers table FOR NO REASON! and the stupid refs gave Ray Allen a ****ing technical!! wtf well they did give odom a flagrant but WTF ray allen got hammered and he gets a tech? ****ing referees for any of you guys who get emails from the nba check your inbox they sent a survey to me the other day fill that **** out and send your ref complaints directly
LO once again shows his mental weakness. That's the kind of idiotic move that could start decaying the great chemistry the Lakers have right now.
You're talking about Lamar Odom right? But the reason the Lakers lost this game was ... well the Celtics. They just shut the Lakers' offense completely. And that KG guy is one hell of a player. Oh yeah Ray Allen and PP are pretty good too.
They should use the throw back rules, hand check and all and see if Kobe can be like Mike... ,,, oh wait, never mind.
LO gets a one game suspension for his tackle of Ray Allen: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3176322 Tuesday, January 1, 2008 Odom suspended one game for flagrantly fouling Allen ESPN.com news services Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom was suspended one game without pay for flagrantly fouling Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen on Sunday, NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson announced Tuesday. With 2:56 remaining in the fourth period of the Lakers' 110-91 loss to the Celtics, Odom threw himself into Allen and knocked him to the floor. "I don't know what Odom was thinking," Allen said Sunday. "I got the rebound and he tackled me. I know this is Sunday, but this is the wrong field." Odom will serve the suspension Jan. 4 when the Lakers host the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Play: <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/vbgqoh7-L4A&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/vbgqoh7-L4A&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object> This is what you get when you try to run up the score. Leaving the Big Three in there in a blow-out game was unnecessary. Some players will take that as a motivation for their next matchup, some will just ram you to the floor.
The lead wasn't safe until there was ~five minutes left in the game. That wasn't a "message" from Odom ... it was just him expressing frustration that he is a lazy headcase who cannot be half the player he could be if he had ten more IQ points.
He was expressing frustration that the Lakers were getting kicked on their home floor and that KG stuffed his shot two seconds earlier.
