Everytime I saw Larry Brown being interviewed he seemed as if he was at a funeral. He should go crazy and celebrate.

he was just overwhelmed by the win.

what a great game! i enjoyed it so much. granted that the pistons were great but i guess i enjoyed the faker's loss more. watching the fakers fold and humiliated and the fact that karla will retire ringless is just priceless.

    ROTFLMFAO!!!:D :D :D

I had a tough day yesterday as I had to pull in 14 hours but right before I left, I checked espn's website and saw that Detroit had won.

Somehow or another, I didn't feel too bad about having worked a 14 hour day.

It is like someone else said - this is the greatest non-Rockets NBA championship ever.

How much you want to bet that Sports Illustrated doesn't come out with a video that shows how the Pistons totally kicked the Fakers' asses?

And life is always good when the biyotch Malone is still ringless - lolololololololololololol.

After reviewing the first two pages of this thread, I think I have paid too much respect for the analysis of the posters here before ;) .

    Well done Palmray. :D

My god the Laker fans are ungrateful, spoiled crybabies!

I have ZERO respect for the Pissants

Funny how the players and coaches for the Lakers admitted they were beaten but Lakers fans are blaming the officials and going as far as claiming that Stern ordered the Lakers to throw the series. You talk about being in denial!

This has got to be one of the best things I've ever seen.

Two words spring to mind here - Dick Bavetta.

Phil Jackson couldn't win a championship with four future hall of famers.

    EXPOSED.

Excellent. Certainly not in the manner I expected...but I was very happy.

By the way...Derek Fisher was among the most gracious losers in his post-game interview I've ever seen.

No kidding, it’s also the reason he’ll never show his sorry face again on a sideline as a coach! Over rated coattail rider!!

Yeah, I have to say my estimation of Fisher went up slightly with that interview. He was man enough to come out to do it, first of all, and he handled it graciously, giving the Pistons their due and having pride in his own team.

Also, I wanted to say somewhere that Toolbert annoys the hell out of me. Besides being an ugly guy with an irritating way of speaking, he said toward the end of Game 5 (roughly): "One thing I don't want to hear is 'what is going wrong with the Lakers.'" Uh, Toolbert, that was you in every previous game! Bandwagonner.

No kidding, it was funny watching everybody on ESPN and ABC do an about face after the Piston won.

Best quote of the night, early in third Fakers down by 12 showing no energy (in my opinion the Faker were beaten as soon as the Pistons took the lead in the first but I digress), Doc River exclaimed, “the Laker’s are still IN this game.”

Even Al Michael’s had to step up and tell him that wasn’t true!

I'm so glad that ABC stopped their crap about the Lakers this and the Lakers that. It's going to be a great summer hearing nothing about the Lakers and just about Lakers turmoil. :D

Boy, the Lakers fans are already demanding that this Detroit championship be marked with an asterik. I agree.

    *Detroit Pistons: 2003-2004 champs

*Dominated the Lakers in every facet of the game. Also remarkable for denying Malone a ring.

if youre going to say that the lakers and david stern helped the pistons win this year, then you have to admit that the lakers were helped in the three years that they won (especially in those games against the kings)

And what about the captain of a team with Hakeem, Barkley and either Drexler or Pippen losing.

How about the captain of Bird-McHale-Parish-Ainge-Johnson-Walton team losing. How about the captain of a Magic, Kareem and Worthy team losing team.

Everybody in sports loses sometimes, unless you are John Wooden where you can hoard the best college players for 10 years running or Red Auberach and rig drafts and buy a team of all HOFers before their is any equity among teams/resouces.
