HAHA! Good one. Detroit should of raped his ass in this game. Instead, Detroit ended up getting molested. Sucks.

the one team you foul is the lakers if you are up 3 at the end of the game. Larry Brown should slapped in the head.

Maybe... but it is awfully tough for a team, and its fans, to come back from this sort of demoralization.

Even the Rockets choke city teams didn't lose a game like THIS.... in 94, they had home court, so they knew that if they could just get the series back to Houston, they'd have a chance. In 95, they were blown out in Phoenix before they made their comeback... much different.

This was a meltdown in all sense of the word... their coach was beaten, and their defense was beaten.

Doc has a tendency to play up the "happy go lucky talk." He beams with superfluous exagerations. Like a father talking about his son. Not as bad as Bill Walton. But similar.

I wouldn't say lucky, I'd say it's just amazing clutch, Kobe has it in it's greatest extent, Michael Jordan like. And Fisher has it in it's lesser extent.

But, man oh man, Kobe keeps making those shots on a consistent basis. As often as he does it, it's still shocking. I've no words.

Hate to quote Doc Rivers, but, yes "whatever it is, Jordan had it and he has it".

Not that Kobe=Jordan, but that when comes to that "it", that ability to make such shots, my god.

Larry Brown lost it for the Pistons, plain and simple.

shaq didnt get fouled when the lakers were down by 4. they could have called a foul on fisher when he flopped on the next play.

what happened to the no hand check rule? does this apply to everyone in the league except the lakers?

lakers definitely got some help on this one

i excuse Walton because i've grown to like him over the years because we all know he was/probly still is a pothead and whatever he says just dont' make any sense. but doc....looks like a sane guy....smart guy....even though him and al michaels would like it for Kobe to Houdini them both...i thought doc was better than that...guess not....

Shaq hold the ball for 2 sec, Ben Wallace was all over him but not foul him.

    Big mistake!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And they had chance to foul kobe when he was dribbling!!!!!!!!!

    Big mistake!!!!!!!!!

And Lakers didn't even have timeout left!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why does this always happen we're watching the lakers? In crunch time no lead is ever safe against the lakers. I dont know, maybe it's the players, maybe it's the refs, i just dont know. it seems to happen again and again.

I feel stupid for cheering and jumping like crazy when the pistons extended the lead in the waning minutes of the 4th quarter.

Doc River is disgusting. He wasn't very successful at coaching, but he is even worse as a commentator.

Anyone playing the Lakers gets screwed. It's just bad luck. Detroit should of ended this in regulation.

The reason is because Phil teaches his players to never, never, never, never give up. Did I mention, never? ;)

Now, add Shaq, Kobe, Payton, Malone....a few role players that Phil has brainwashed into thinking they are better than they really are....well, you have a situation that most novice play-off teams are not ready for.

We'll see how the Piston react the next game. They need a talk with Dumars. He knows what to do.

    I don't know anymore.

Everytime i think the lakers are down, they do soemthing crazy. And i wouldnt even mention the favourable treatment by the refs. And I STILL cheer, thinking optimisticly that the lakers will finally LOSE.

But let's say detroit won this game. Just watch the lakers win the next 4 games (kinda like the SA-LA series), even though they have no home court advantage.

With Malone hobbling throughout this game, they should of given it to Rasheed more in the game. Malone got lucky to be able to rest up for Game 3 being tied now instead of down 2-0.
