This story has appeared on several other internet bball sites as well. If there's any truth to the rumour, this doesn't seem like that great a deal for the blazers. I would think they could get a better deal from one of the other teams. But, I guess Caron Butler is a pretty decent player to get back if they're set on Bynum.

There's always some joke of a franchise who can't wait to propel the glamour team of the nba back to prominence. Then again, if you're dealing with Kupchak, you never know what will happen.

I don't care if they get the pick, as long as Bogut and Williams are gone when it's their turn.

I don't get this deal at all. It doesn't even look close to worth it for the Blazers. I like my spin on the Lakers/Charlotte rumor that popped up yesterday.

    Lakers get:
#5 pick (from Charlotte) to use on Green

    Charlotte gets:
#3 pick (from Portland) to draft Chris Paul
    Caron Butler

    Blazers get:
    #10 pick
    #13 pick

To me this makes a lot more sense. Everyone would make out pretty well. LA would get the young gun that they covet. Charlotte gets the talented local product that they need, along with an extra player. And the Blazers get two lottery picks.
