The T-shirt cannon was retired in 1999 after Cuttino Mobley got shot by it. Where have you been Rocketsauce? [IMG]

BobFinn - I don't think the Lakers will look for anyone to replace Fisher. Tyrone Lue is a more than adequate back-up, so why would they bother, especially if it is only short term?

    Hey BobFinn*,

You did however ask this question...

Who could we get from LA for him?

I am not saying you have done the inate posting. So you need to pull your head out of you a$$ before you try and rip into anybody. I was just stating in general.

The Lakers really have very few players I would be interested in.George and Lue come to mind but I wouldn't deal him for George straight up and replacing one third string pg with another really doesn't interest me.I am much more intrigued with the possibilities with Chicago(Fizer or Crawford)neither of whom is apparrantly to thrilled about playing in Chicago.

Rcoketsauce..what are you talking about? rudy liked this guy. and hes actually a very good sf, just got traded to a situation where there were many players just like him(phoenix), and hten la that had a surplus at the 3 spot so they forced him into the power forward spot,

    Swopa,

You missed a couple of subtle points.

    1) Vonteego did not score his entire 23 in the scant 9 minutes Bryce was in that game.

    2) It would be easy to juke Bryce and go to the hoop against Pig (30 min in "that" game) or Bull (27 min) or KT (24 min) or Walt (32 min). If you don't think the Rocks lacked inside presence in "that" game, Francis led the team with 17 rebounds and had as many blocks as Dream.

Bryce has a better 3pt% than any Laker and is less of a defensive liability with Shaq behind him (in which case Vonteego would have a reverse "Spaulding" imprinted on his forehead). IMHO, if the price were right, the Lakers would have him in a heartbeat.

By the way, if ya'all beat the Rocks without Dampier, Starks, Mills, and Terry Cummings
maybe you should have used that lineup in the other 3 games!

I also apologies for the long post, but we have divergent opinions of Bryce's value.

How about Shaq? I don't think there is room for both him and Kobe, maybe we could throw in Carlos Rogers too?

this is just something i was wondering, but do you think a francis+olajuwon(salarycap) 4 shaq+lue deal would go through..i hope not i would take stevie over shaq big time. hes younger and is going to be way better altough you cant compare the two because of differendt situations and positions. do you tink the lakers would make this deal?

No way vj. You never trade a dominant big man for a guard and a fading center. (unless the guard is MJ)

vj, what Rudy says to the public and what he feels are two different things. Horry was lazy, and his game has not improved since his rookie year. Why on earth would Rudy want him back. Horry is not a good SF. His only advantage at PF is his quickness. Against SF's he's not quick enough. Getting a block a game doesn't indicate good defense (see Kelvin Cato).

Bfore anyone mentions bringing Horry in here, would they please take the time to look at his career stats.
    http://www.nba.com/playerfile/robert_horry.html

I think that would end the debate before it starts. His stats are pretty bad for a SF, and he plays PF. Doesn't that show you anything.

I guess I could of done this all in one post, but what the hell.

Why would we want a PF that shoots .449 FG% and averages 8ppg/5rpg. That is as a starter. Put him on the bench and you'll see the true meaning of the word futility.

Sauce what i meant was, he wasnt being used the right way in phoenix or la. in phoenx he had robinson, mcdyess, mccloud, and a couple others to competee with and that was a bad situation, la had rice, fox, and kobe who can all play the 3 spot, so they put the biggest sf they had at pf, do you understand what im saying.. look at his best year
12 ppg, 6rpg, 4apg, 1.4 bpg, can you honestly say that isnt a good line for someone we could acquire for a 3 string pg

It doesn't matter what his line is, Horry and Rudy have a mutual dislike for each other.

It would also be loading up on salary when they should be looking to pare salary.

The only reason I would want Horry back on the team is because he is Will Smith's identical twin brother, so he could fight all these extraterrestrials when we play them (ET Cassell, Van Exel...). I'm sure you could name some more extraterrestrials if you thought about it... [IMG].

It isn't Rudy that has a dislike for Horry....it's Calvin Murphy. Doesn't everybody know that?

Cassell looks like an alien. Finally somebody agrees with me. I've always said that Horry looks exactly like Will Smith, but everyone thinks I'm crazy. When he was drafted by us in 92, I was like, "Oh ****! We drafted Will Smith! Personally, I like Horry; he was a good player back in The Glory Days.

Horry is nearly as much of a waste of space as Walt why on earth would we want more excess baggage on this team.

does anyone remember the championship days...he was the best player outside of dream he had to be doing something right he was almost traded for sean elliot who was selected as an all star that season obviously the pistons saw something in him that many of you do not. hes much better than any sf we have (williams, lanky, and bullard)im probably going to be verbally abused now for saying hes better htan langhi but thats what i think.
