You can't use the 3.9 rpg to bash him since he only got 18.7 mpg.

However, on a percentage basis Turiaf only grabbed 11.6% of available rebounds while he was on the floor. That's very subpar for a big man, just a little above SF level.

Carl landry only got 16.9 mpg, but he got 4.9 rbg. Fewer Minutes, outmatched by bigger players like Turiaf, and still outrebounding Turiaf.

Never mind, you are right. 3.9 rpg is not bad. It's decent for a 6'10" guy playing limited minutes. Even though these scrubs, average 4.5-6 rpg in the same limited minutes.

    Nazr Mohammed(6'10") 6.0 rpg 20.1 mpg
    Channing Frye(6'11") 4.5 rpg 17.2 mpg
    Chuck Hayes(6'6") 5.4 rpg 19.9 mpg

Yes, we can get creative and start counting guys like Matt Barnes, and Millsap.

They keep holding their pieces because it is the right move. Landry is a much better player than Turiaf, you could make a argument with a Hayes comparison. We don't gain by signing Turiaf, especially for what he makes. I'm glad it weakens the Lakers bench just a little.

Trust me they're not taking minutes from their starters to give to Turiaf anyway. It does take a high energy bench player off of their team though. Gotta love any time the Lakers weaken just a bit. If they get Artest  you're right!!

Look at what Turiaf got and look at what Diop got and tell me whether GS or Dallas got the better value?

Guess what Turiaf gets more blocks overall and per 48 minutes (5th in the league actually). So you get at least as good of an interior presence and a lot better offensive player at the cost of a few rebounds.

Good signing by GS, Turiaf is a very solid all around back up 4/5. And it really hurts the Lakers unless Bynum and Gasol stay healthy and happy.

I don't think we have to worry about the Lakers getting Artest. They don't want to take on Kenny Thomas's contract.

Also, Sac fans hate the Lakers and their fans. The Kings would lose their fan base if they gave up Artest to the Lakers.

So i guess you would like a guy backing up yao and scola and come in and get 10ppg 6 rebs and 2 blks in 30 backup minutes. Please start watching basketball.

Why pay hayes 1.7 m and Landry 2.5 m when you pay Roni 4 mil to do both their jobs and untie spots on your bench? ! guy can do what both of those guys do for the most part, plus hes a shot blocker and can play both positions in backup role. When Yao goes out, would you rather have a guy that can hit the little face up jumper, defend positionally and block shots as well as play along yao and do the same thing when scola goes out. When he gets 25 mins, you can write down 10-5-2. Thats pretty good off the bench numbers. The lakers have Bynum coming back so the need for him isnt is great.

Cause Landry and Hayes can get 10 rebounds in only 20 minutes. 20 rebounds between the two of them.
