This guy is exposed now. They're keeping a big man by the basket and he's not even going for a layup because he know it'll get swatted. What's he doing instead? He's running around the paint like a chickenless head, which then results in a bad pass and a turnover.. he's not good enough to make passes in traffic.. Adelman needs to realize this and that penetrating and dribbling around in the paint waiting for something to happen is not good offense.

They pay more attention to him. Especially when there is a high screen&roll, their bigs chased out on him a little bit, and AB usually goes to the basket on a roll and it doesn't help when Hayes is your screener. AB right now is a little one dimension. We need to leave Lowry on as one guard for longer period of time and have AB as two guard from time to time, but then his size is a disadvantage on the defensive end.

More like he had no clue what he was doing?

Passed up open shots and drove into crowd, not passing to Yao when he was open, turnovers, etc., etc.

AB is OK, I am more concerned about Scola's performance. He had two bad games in a row now.

They aren't locking him down he's locking himself down he has to read the defense better he's getting caught in the mindset of passing the basketball while passing up a open shot or he'll take a ill advise shot and have Yao open or fail to make one more pass.

His decision making has to be better he needs to know what he wants to do because he can get into the lane at will but if they are clogging him he needs to read the defense better and have more patience because 9 times out of 10 someone else is open.

We just need to move the basketball and have more patience at getting Yao the ball because he was open many times if we would just swing the ball around. Also the lakers don't rotate on D, we move the ball we should have a LAY UP DRILL on them the whole game.

Another IDIOTIC thread by people who know NOTHING about the game of basketball or what is going on out there on the court.

AB's JOB is to break down the defense on the dribble.

AB's TEAMATES job is to move to an open spot once the D rotates to cover the penetration - giving AB a variety of targets to pass to...

AB is doing his job...the rest of his teamates are standing around watching.

All it takes is MOVEMENT off the ball and the team will be fine and players will get wide open shots.

Again, anyone that has ever played or coached a game of basketball can see what Rick Adelman is doing with AB.....

Apparently that is a very low percentage of people on this BBS.

true. but how well or how poorly did he do his job last night?

i guess you were saying he did his job well, it's just he didn't have anyone to pass to, eh? so it's all on his teammates. got it.

we all have bias or preferences towards different players. but don't let that bias make you blind. ab is still the team's weakest link.

 Right, 'cuz 13 points is waaaayyyy below his average. And we could do WITHOUT those three pointers that kept us close. And he committed 2 turnovers!!! BENCH HIM!!!!!

Seriously, man. WTF (where the eff) do you get off saying this?

LOL Give me a break your highness, anyone that knows something about basketball can see its the exact opposite of what you said. AB's bad at creating for his teammates, he can't pass in traffic, all he does is dribble in a circle in the paint looking for a pass that he can't make.

I am not biased !!!! I like AB, I like Lowry, I like the Rockets.

I can not stand IDIOTIC comments by fans who have no idea what is going on in a basketball game.

AB penetrates, the defense collapses on him.....his teamates NEED TO MAKE THEMSELVES AVAILABLE TARGETS BY MOVING TO AN OPEN SPACE.

Watch the game...AB penetrates, his teamates stand around and watch....it is not what they are supposed to do.

If you are going to have a guy penetrate, forcing the D to adjust you have to take advantage by moving your body.

    Especially Yao....

absolutely true. post men in particular need to move their ass over when AB comes driving in with his defender on his hip pocket...that's not helping.

    Kids....SHEESH !!

Could AB do better, sure, but he is doing his primary task watch game 6 versus Portland and how much better Yao and everyone moved off the ball making themselves a good target to receive the ball.

That is how you play the game.....AB is doing his job...the rest of the team is not.

If you can not get this simple FACT about what is going on out there, then you do not understand the game of basketball.....but hey, most fans don't either.

Maybe you should watch the replays, how are guys supposed to cut into the paint when Brooks is running around in a circle?
