imo lakers would put gasol on yao not bynum. we have ron on kobe, so no big deal, and also if tmac 100% concentrate on def, he can guard kobe very well, np. X ur finger, hope yaos on fire with his fade aways lol, otherwise gasol would kill us.

To be fair, Yao seems to always have big games against the Lakers...that and the Mavs, those are the two teams he really goes after.

If the Rockets played the way they've played through 5 games, the Lakers will destroy us. Yao will be the key.

It is really not about matchups. It is all about how the player plays.

Look we have Ron and they have Odom. Ok we have the adventage but now look, Artest have been really struggling so do we really have that adventage?

The same with Yao. He is obviously better than Bynum. But he is struggling.

It is early in the season, we shouldn't worry about that because everybody is just catching his rythm. Too bad we have that road trip at the beggining.

Right now the Lakers would own this team...they have the chemistry we do not.

I think we are going to get killed by the Lakers. I hope someone can knock th the lakers off this year so we don't have to play them in the playoffs. That's why I'm saying playoff positioning is going to be very important this year! Just like when the Rockets won the championships in the 90's. They didn't have to play the Sonics. They killed us every time!

and i agree with that. he needs to focus but what is more important he needs to be 100% on that knee. looks like he is still a little bit afraid of contact defensivly.

Brooks, you hit the nail on the head, the team rebounding right now is absolutely atrocious, there giving the opposing team extra possessions when they can't secure the defensive rebound. I have always thought that offensive rebounds and long 3ptrs. are so demoralizing to a teams defense. It's funny that this team is not really play well, but still had a chance to win every game. They will be scary when Battier gets back.

We hold two great defenders at 3 but no defender at 4. Oh, I'm sorry I ignored Hayes. but besides defense, what else can hayes do? We need a PF who can play defense and offense at the same time, just to take some pressure on Pau in offense and lock him up in defense.
