They're the defending champions, have arguably the best coach and player/closer in the NBA but all they can do is complain.
The fact is the Lakers still think they can just "Turn it on" and don't play hard a full 48 minutes. That's their main weakness.

I love reading some of the comments and getting somewhat respect for our beloved Rockets. That and looking at some other threads find it funny how Lakers fans **** all over their team. Anybody read the Artest shoe throwing thread. So glad I'm a Rockets fan. :D

They want Chase Budinger backing up Kobe?

Right. And I want Chris Paul backing up his car into the "reserved" spot at the Toyota Center.

    Very true.

They are defending champions, how could their 'fans' complain?

However this is pretty embarrassing loss from their point of view cause we beat them without our 'Superstars'.

The level headed Laker fan wouldn't really look into this loss too much though.

    It's early. Kobe wasn't 100% etc.

I don't go on the other team's message board to make me feel happy about a victory.

I feel happy about a victory because we won, not because I give a rats azz about the other team's fans feelings.

talkin bout how bad sasha is

-Vujacic is one of the worst NBA players I have ever seen and I have watched the league avidly since 1975.
-Sadly, its true. The guy was always pretty much one-dimensional to begin with, but the past couple of years have exposed him for the scrub he is. His shot is not just off - its not even CLOSE. Bona fide bricklayer deluxe.

Dude had one semi-good year in 2008 and managed to swindle the Lakers out of millions as a result.

-I hate Sasha Vujacic with a passion. HE DOES NOT BELONG IN THE NBA AND A COMPLETE WASTE OF A ROSTER SPOT FOR THE TEAM!

-We play Will Bynum next. So just imagine what he's going to do to our guards.

What surprises me the most is how the Lakers fans always sleep on the Rockets. When they lose they're consistently shocked, which I find extremely odd given that we always play them very tough and last season's 7 game series should have more than ever affirmed that we are a team that just matches up well against them. It's like each close game/loss they have against us they wipe it from their memory or something.

    Indeed we did!

LA Lakers fans, what you saw tonight from the Houston Rockets and earlier from the Dallas Mavericks in Los Angeles wasn't a fluke.

It's my way of warning you that NBA Texas is ready to take down your rebuilt empire again!

and if you thought that your team was safe this season from NBA Texas...

San Antonio is coming soon to beat you Los Angeles...

and before you know it, NBA Texas will have the mental edge that all 3 of our teams aren't scared of you, intimidated by you, or afraid of you and that each one of us has a way of beating you!

Hey there was some other things I noticed I was wondering if the Lakers fan say anything about.

    - Scola and Fisher from last year is easily seen this year, in the game where Brooks went for a four point play, Fisher rushes up to Scola and exchanges words. Anything about these two commented?

    - Fisher taking anger out on other players now, ie Brooks and Andersen.

    - Did the Lakers fan even see the Lamar dribbling outta bounds?

On what are we exactly? They still have Bynum, we have some Australian in his first year in the league. Seriously, we have no legit written in stone All-Star. They are still bigger and taller. Maybe the Lakers were on one leg, but this team is on a prosthetic if you want to use analogies.

Talk about spoiled fans. The Lakers are 7-3 without Gasol. I still predict mid season for Ron to do something really crazy.
