So what you are saying is that when the calls don't go our way, we should take out a Laker? You girls need to nut up and play tough, instead of playing Thug ball and trying to justify it.

As a Laker fan (under this hypothetical) would you be OK with a Kobe suspension for the cheap shot in game one? Not that it will ever happen, but you can't justify one and not consider the other. If Stern had any sack, and actually suspended Kribaby for that thug move, it would surely cost the Fakers a game.

Well, there will always be fans that justify anything their team does. I'm glad we're not cheap like that, and feel that the Lakers are just upset about the series they're about to lose.

Fisher should be suspended for a game, if the league doesn't want this to get out of control, and if they have any concern whatsoever about their image over their precious ubermatchup in the finals.

We need an enforcer on this team like Hayes to retaliate next time Fisher drives to the basket. a guy that we are ok w getting ejected.

we cant have artest or yao as our enforcer as we will need them to play 40 mins a game. otherwise, we are gonna get punked the rest of the series

Its okay. Lakers can continue playing "tough". Its all fine with me.

By the 5th game, Lakers can celebrate their 5th ejection or more.

The thing that upset me most about that play was that none of our guys got in Fisher's face to tell him he can't do that to our guys. Lowry went straight to the officials rather than getting in Lowry's grill. Sure, maybe you can say the Rockets were "mature" about it, but I think they would have emerged from that a stronger team if someone had Scola's back.

I notice no one really stood up for him when Odom and Walton got in his face, either. Maybe I've overreacting, but I thought this team was tight enough and tough enough to stand up for each other in those scenarios... Maybe they're just a lot more poised and composed than Will gives them credit for (other than Artest after the Kobe elbow).

    What'd he say?

It's sad to me that the Lakers and their fans equate 'toughness' to 'dirty'.

Tough is playing hard with a non-stop motor and doing whatever it takes to get a rebound, make a shot, stay in front of your man, etc.

Dirty is everything the Lakers did last night, and they are proud of it. Scola or Ron could have been seriously hurt last night, and they think it is OK.

Unbelievable. I don't want our Rox to resort to that kind of crap. Karma is a mutha, they'll get what's coming.

The ? is do the Rox want Fisher to be suspended for a game or not, the reason being is he is slow unlike their other guards but he does shoot it well sometimes and challenges AB physically.

The funny thing is that Odom started everything by talking **** after blocking Luis's shot earlier. Scola's foul on Odom was by no means hard, and that's when the Lakers lost their cool.

Also, Fisher came out hurting more than Scola, so you have to question the "message" he supposedly sent

Lakers fans are acting absolutely disgusting about this.

Learn to play basketball, punks. If you want to watch football, go watch the LA... oh wait, you don't have a team, LOLZ!

I agree. We all love Artest for getting in Kobe's face, Sura is loved on this board for having the stones to step up to Josh Howard, and Nachbar is a saint because of his confrontation with Karl Malone. It's natural to stick up for your team. I don't have a problem with them saying that stuff......however, I will have a MAJOR problem if Fisher is allowed to play in Game 3.

That's because three people just got technical fouls for jawing at each other the play before. It would have been dumb to go talk **** to Fisher at that point.

A few of the most mind-bogglingly insane homer postings I've seen so far today:

Fisher's move looked worse than it was because he's short.

That's the title of a THREAD, by the way.
Scola flopped like hell and made it look alot worse then it actually was.
And the most pathetic of all, regarding Kobe vs Ron-Ron:

I'm genuinely worried for Kobe's life. I could so see Artest coming prepared with a shank and pulling that (bleep) out the next time a situation escalates. I knew Artest was mentally unstable, but damn this guy needs help.
Note to Laker fans: Artest HAS help. Kobe's the one who's having to do it all by himself.

Let them say whatever they want.

We all know they have no class.
