id love for the kings to move :) a lot closer to san diego. That means two more Rockets games to go to a year and given it's the King they should be wins!

The Warriors, Clips and Lakers are all opposed to it but they are only 3 votes. Maybe some small town teams might also oppose it on the grounds it will set a bad precedent but that still wont be enough.

    Bye bye Sacramento. (sadly)

The kings are a young team on the rise , they have been playing a lot better ball lately ....but they will get initially get people who can't afford lakers tix / or drive to L.A to show up to Anaheim Royals games.

Let me get this straight. The Lakers have a $200mil/year TV deal while the Kings and Clippers have $11 and $22.5 mil/year deals? That means there's plenty of market in SoCal, which the Maloofs have already figured out, despite whatever uninformed bs Phil Jackson says. Certainly whatever they can negotiate in Anaheim is better than what they could get in Sacto.

Second, the revenue disparity btw the top and bottom is huge. Had no idea of the difference.

The reason the Warriors don't want the move to happen is because they think it opens the door for a San Jose team. Instead of another SoCal team, why not just move the Kings to San Jose? I'm sure they could play in the Shark Tank.

I think there's probably a lot more teams interested in allowing free team movement than teams wanting to protect local monopolies. I can see Lakers, Clippers, Warriors, Knicks, Nets (if their own move is secure), Bulls, and Mavs trying to block or punish a move. That's not nearly enough votes. Not when you have just as many or more voters keenly interested in the lattitude to do the same thing; I'm guessing: Raptors, Bucks, Pacers, Pistons, Hornets, Spurs, Bobcats, Twolves, Blazers, and Jazz.
