It makes a lot of sense for Lakers and if I can I will do that if I am Kupchak. Gasol isnt giving them much and Rondo would make them much better IMO.

But for the C's it is a BAD deal

The celtics would do this so when Allen and kg expire they can sign them for cheap and go for deron in the offseason.

    Deron
    Allen
    Piere
    Kg
    Gasol

People are undervaluing Pau. A starting lineup of Bradley, Allen, Pierce, KG, Pau is very solid.

Here's a trade that might be doable for the Lakers, assuming LA throws in a 1st rounder:

    http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6qrk8ab

Lakers get a solid point guard, who's basically a younger derek fisher, plus a tweener forward who can come off the bench, maybe replace Odom.

Bobcats would get a pick, and relieve themselves from Thomas' contract. Which would mean they would have a lot of cap space in two years.

If the C's want one more run, they can get a lot more value for Rondo than Gasol. How about they traded Rondo(plus picks) to the Bucks' for Bogut and Jennings?

Unlike most, I think this is a fantastic deal for the Celtic's last hoorah. Especially If they can find a point guard. Kevin Garnett & Pau Gasol would be a freaking nightmare to play against on both ends of the court. Still, they need to get a capable PG in such a deal. Steve Blake might do the job.

(I think Rondo makes the Celtic's worse in some ways. Ray Allen and Pierce need to have the ball a hell of a lot more than they do. People forget how good Ray Allen was when he was running pick and rolls. He is more than just a shooter.)
