Yeah, that thing is a fricken joke, yes Kobe can play good defense, but he rarely does, and gambles way too much
With Pau and Odom, I'll agree. Bynum is just a giant ball of do not care. Fisher, to his credit, is one of the most consistent guys in the game - there's no gearing up or down with him. But I'd be at least slightly worried about Kobe. He hasn't regressed like Boston's big 3....but he's not KOBE right now (I'd say 90%). Given how the Lakers are built to revolve around him.... ...It's not good when you have these nights where Gasol was going bonkers with ridiculous scoring efficiency....and Kobe's chunking pumpkins. That will cost them games in the postseason.
I do not think the Lakers would beat the Spurs in a series as the teams are presently constituted (meaning no injuries or major trades). I also think the Lakers would have trouble with Dallas. They just are not the same as they have been the past few years. I understand that they don't always play hard, but they've done that in the past as well. This season feels like they have taken it to a whole new level. They lost to Cleveland, and got blown out by Charlotte! That is pretty bad.
Is Kobe already raising his arms as if to say, "Hey where's the call ref? Didn't you see him punch me in the face on his way to the basket??"
they have had at least three 3 game losing streaks this season, including recent losses to Charlotte and Cleveland. unprecedented in the Phil Jackson/Championship era. there's plenty of reason, as well as plenty of doubt...
