You normally put a heck of a lot of value into PER and other efficiency stats. Harden is a very efficient scorer. He still has to work on his playmaking because he makes a lot of bad decisions but he is a great scorer. Comparing him to other volume guards isn't fair.

Well, if we want to talk PER, in your top-10 list, Blake is currently 4th for this season, behind Durant, Westbrook, and Harden. If you look at career PERs for all of those guys, Blake is only behind Durant.

I think you seriously underrate Blake because you don't watch him play. Anyone who thinks he is "flash over substance" doesn't watch him.. they watch a few ESPN highlight dunks. So do those who think he hasn't improved this year because his numbers are down (because he's playing less minutes duh).

I don't even care about the stats that much. What you look for in a player is someone who will impact the game beyond himself. This is why good interior players are the most important players in the NBA, because you have to gameplan for them. No one gameplans for Kevin Love. But teams do gameplan for Griffin because he is a beast inside.

I actually said that he has improved this year for starters. I know he's playing less minutes but his efficiency has gone down with those minutes. You are nuts if you think teams don't game plan for Love.

Actually, now that I think about it, CP3's max contract (starting at ~$18.6mil) would be less than Dwight's (>$20mil) so it would be easier to sign CP3 then trade Asik and Lin to the Lakers for Dwight. It would have the detrimental effect of helping the Lakers, but it makes some more sense in terms of fit.

His PER has dropped slightly from last year but is still better than his rookie year (where everyone thought he was so great because he was doing 20/12). However, defensively he's much better this year and he's opened up his game a lot so teams can't just play off him. He's clearly a better player to anyone who watches him a lot. And that makes sense since he's only in his 3rd year in basically a new offense. I guess you could think that he's peaked, but it seems like a rather arbitrary assumption. My stance is that when you have a bigman as athletic as Blake who is not "just" potential (eg, Deandre Jordan), you only consider trading him for the very best players in the league. And aside from your top two (maybe three) guys, no one qualifies.

You don't seriously think Paul and Dwight are going to leave, do you? Is this a pipe dream or some sort of mass delusion?

I never said he's peaked or not gotten better. I think his improvement isn't as far as most would have thought at this point. Third year players like George and harden are improving more

Well yeah, they didn't start as 20/12 players.

No doubt. But I like their upside a little more than Blake's at this point. Not saying Blake isn't a perennial ask star though.

How can you say Love is inefficient when he was 4th in the league in PER in 2011 and 5th in the league in 2012. His PER in those two years are higher than any year of Blake's career. Also, last year he had a higher ts% than any other high scoring PF in the league and was only second to Dirk the year before.

Not believable regarding McMillan. That team played hard always played, hard for him. I'd definitely be happy with him coaching the Rockets

Tj Simers is worthless. Would take everything he writes with a mine full of salt.

Lol Chris Paul is going nowhere. He's basically player/coach/GM rounded into one over there and he is going to recruit ton of veteran FAs to sign there with below market contracts and play with him especially now that the Clippers own the city of LA.

Morey is also not giving up his job to Paul here at Houston.

The article makes it sound like the clippers already are out of the playoffs...game six is tonight??

Griffin and Jordan should be glad Paul is even there because without him the team probably wouldn't be relevant

Dont you find it strange that its a hack like TJ Simers and he's the only one who keeps making this crap up?

The Clipps don't matchup with the Grizz inside and Del Negro is a clueless coach. What can he tell these guys that inspires them or gets them to see another side of the game? What other adjustments has he made? None at all and nothing he can say because he relies on Paul and Crawford to do everything via either iso, or PnR hero ball.

The best part of them losing tonight is that he will lose his job as well.
