Yeah, sign Dwight then trade Lin and Asik for Paul. The issue there is running into the repeater tax when Parsons, DMo, and the rest come up for extensions.

Also, there's probably some diminishing returns with having both CP3 and Harden.

    Howard/Smith
    Jones/Motiejunas
    Parsons/Delfino
    Harden/FA
    Paul/Bevery

    Would be awesome.

Man Hell Naw!!!! I'd give up Harden to get those two. The problem with Harden, don't get me wrong he's a max player, but he needs the ball in his hands at the top of the key to be effective. Well most effective. Chris Paul dominating the ball would turn Harden into a spot up shooter or a catch and shoot guy which he is not. I'd rather keep parsons and get a solid 4 if we could out of the deal for Harden. I'd also be perfectly happy with getting only Howard and keeping Harden. Would also be happy with moving forward with our young core.

Have you heard of this team called the Miami Heat? They have this player named D Wade, and Lebron right, and theyre both handlers and required the ball in their hands. Oh yeah, they just won a title with ease and look to repeat this year.

Niether of those are $18M/yr point guards either. Chris Paul is effective with the ball in his hands because he is a facilitator, not a scorer first. Just like the Heat don't need to pay a pg $18M to give Lebron and Wade the ball at the top of the Key, we don't need to pay Chris Paul max $ to give the ball to Harden at the top of the key.

If I'm David Stern I somehow convince Dwight Howard to go play with Cleveland, how EPIC would that be? Kyrie and Howard plus all of the draft picks they are getting, and how epic would it be for Lebron to get knocked out of the playoffs by Cleveland.

THAT WOULD BE UNREAL FOR THE LEAGUE.

Cp3 will leave the clippers. No way he stays in that forsaken franchise.

There is some truth in the article in the sense that, despite his huge contract, DJ gets benched an awful lot and never plays down the stretch (mostly because he is the worst FT shooter in the league), and also that Blake has looked somewhat lost in the Vinny system (which is just give the ball to CP3 and hope it works). However, Simers is basically a satirist and his stuff needs to be taken taken with a grain of salt.

I guarantee that Paul isn't going anywhere. He is in a huge market, will make more money in LA than anywhere else, and basically controls the direction of the franchise (in that he picks the coach next year).

I wouldn't take anything TJ Simers writes seriously. That guy is a big time troll, probably the most hated sports writer in LA. His MO is to write inflammatory pieces or ask stupid questions to get a rise out of athletes so he can get a quote and make fun of them. Blake Griffin's rookie year, Simers asked him during a post-game, why are you so boring

Kobe hates him. Shaq trashed him in his book. After the Lakers won a ring in 09, next day Simers wrote a piece trashing the team that was published front page in the LA Times and pissed everyone off. The guy's a moron

Lin and Asik for CP3 and/or Dwight. I think this is doable but almost improbable (but may not be for Morey). Rockets may lose Parsons and other players (DMO/TJones) in the process though. I would like to see how far will a CP3/Harden/Dwight combo goes. That's more than enough to challenge the Heat.

I think it boiled down with Wade giving the ball to James and trusting him to pass it to him when he's open. That said, I think Harden will be more than willing to trust CP3 to give it back to him when there's an opportunity.

This guy writes like an 8th grader that hasn't learned what a transition is. Sports journalists are allowed to write even if they are barely literate.

Echo everybody who think TJ Simers sucks, however I've got to say re: DeAndre Jordan- the Kelvin Cato is strong in this one.
