Yeah, some brain too would be nice. But it not just him the whole team's effort and focus is disappointing. If Rockets show up on Sunday with that effort in game 3 even if artest playing. It'll be over because we all know the attention *hore will show up on national tv.

Bill Plaschke is a complete douchebag.

No way the NBA lets the Lakers lose game 7.

haha everyone who thinks it's over is delusional.

2-1 in a 7 game series...hmm. not even close. we have game 4 to change everything.

Exactly what I was going to say...but Plaschke is much worse. If he used proper reasoning or looked at facts when expressing his opinion then he wouldn't be on television.

Bill Plaschke is as much of a journalist as Charles Barkley is.

It is over when the Lakers win two more games OR the Rockets win three. O.K., it is over. The Rockets are not going to win three out of four against the Lakers. The "egg" the Rockets laid on their home court last night cost them the series. The playoffs are about a super high level of talent and intensity: first one that blinks is out, the Rockets blinked. I will say this, if they do win three out of the next four: your Houston Rockets 2009 NBA Champions! That would be the sports shocker of the century.

It's kind of funny, for a team to be declaring victory after 3 games. Especially at 2-1. If the Rockets come out and win tomorrow, it is easily a series again. 6 or 7 game series. I could see, if it was 3-1, but 2-1. Teams are down 2-1 all of the time and come back win the series.

There's too much that could happen.

No matter what happens, though. The series has confirmed to me that the Lakers are still too soft and will probably bow out against Denver or EC winner. They haven't really impressed . . . I am even going to say it has been more of the Rockets losing (turnovers, dumb fouls) than them winning. Outside of Kobe, maybe Lamar for couple of quarters that team hasn't shown me anything.

Despite recieving all the hate from Rockets fans on a Rockets message board, I decided to go ahead and read your article. Once I saw people from your own city questioning your credibility it directly correlated to how terrible your article was. Good job by the way on landing a job with LA Times with garbage you put out like the article I just wasted five minutes of my life reading.

See you in game 6 back in Houston you douche.

Are you freaking kidding me? After one win, and a 2-1 lead in the series, this douche is gonna write this? Even if the Lakers go on to win the series, why the hell would any real Rockets fan think the series is over?? As if no team in the history of the NBA has come back from a 2-1 deficit? This guy is a piece of crap, and I REALLY hope karma comes back to bite him and the rest of the classless, arrogant Lakers fans. Where were they before David Stern handed them Pau Gasol?

I will always think of that Western Conference semi-final series in 1995. We were supposed to be over matched against the Suns and went down 3-1 after a bad home loss on Mother's Day (I was at that game), The Rockets had to deal with chippy officials then as well, recall the Drexler ejection earlier in Phoenix. That Rocket team showed the heart of a champion, did not quit, came back, and won in 7 on their way to an NBA title. We will see if this Rocket team has that same heart, I think they might.
