Lol I hope you are joking. Kobe seems to get right by Artest with ease and LeBron is probably 10x faster. He would run circles around Ron.

They are still contenders, No other team has Battier and Artest for Kobe to have to play against every night. Denver will give them a problem too if they end up winning sunday, they play good defense. I wonder what they are thinking about wanting to play us over the blazers right now!

yeah, i can see how playing a team with heart would be a bad matchup for them.

yes... LA DOMINATED both denver and cleveland in the regular season.

when they are focused they are still the best overall team in the league.

i do realize denver has gotten better, and i will definitely root for them if the rockets lose, but i think LA is still a tough matchup for them. they play solid D, but i think LA can easily draw them into a break neck pace that will hurt their defense, and the lakers offense is more efficient than denver's.

but man would i love to see ANYONE beat the lakers. i hope we can do it so i know for sure at least one team i like will be in the finals.

And LA swept the Rockets in the regular season. Playoffs are a different beast, and the Lakers are a soft team that just wreak of apathy towards playing the game while holding a sense of entitlement that they should get the title based on reputation alone.

Phil Jackson is like any other coach and is loyal to a fault. Why is Fisher still getting the majority of the minutes? It would be like us having Alston shooting 20% from 3 and 36% overall while having a player like Farmar behind him shooting 47% from 3 and 43% overall. We would be screaming for Adelman to make an adjustment.

I really don't think any other team left in the PO match up against the Lakers as well as us. Should LA win game 7, I think they'll go back to their groove against an up-tempo team like Denver. And Fisher will finally find a PG he can actually keep up with.

The Lakers are a fantastic team and it's very likely that if they played Cleveland's playoff schedule they'd have swept their way to the conference finals as well. The media keeps harping on what's wrong with the Lakers? What's wrong with the Lakers is that they're playing the F#$king Houston Rockets and we're a f$%King good team. The lakers are fine, in fact if Cleveland was playing in the west, We'd already have disposed of them.

What I don't like about the media is that some of these experts are only picking the Lakers to lose based on how they played the Rockets. Like the media is dissing both teams based on them saying "There's no way the Lakers should be struggling against this Rocket team." Then some experts are saying "Denver is on a mission. Cleveland is playing like a well-oiled team unlike the Lakers." "The Lakers are not coming out and taking care of business like they want to win a championship team."

While that might be half true based on the Lakers coming out in game 6 very lacklusterish(is that a word?) the Rockets are a very well disciplined team. They forgot this was the same team that won 22 straight games last year with ten of those wins sans Yao. They play with heart and determination every night. Aaron Brooks is turning into a decent lightning fast point guard. Ron Artest can bang with the best of em' inside and is a streaky three point shooter. Shane Battier plays good defense and can hit threes. Luis Scola can take it down low and have a nice 15-18 footer. Carl Landry has no fear of crashing the boards and muscling his way into the lane for a dunk and survived a shooting in a car jacking incident. This team reminds me of the 95 team in a way. No matter what the circunstances are, we just believe in ourselves. For the media to keep wondering whats wrong with the Lakers like the Rockets are an afterthought, injury-plagued team, its disrespecting both teams.

Its my opinion that the Lakers are still the better team compared to the Cavs and Nuggets. The Cavs played an injury-plagued Piston team. A team with a new, relatively inexperienced coach, and the Allen Iverson drama. That team was dead from the jump. Then they played a up-and-coming but inexperienced Hawks team which simply CANNOT win on the road. Even when they took the Celtics to a game 7, you knew they had no chance because they didn't even make the games a contest in their gym. They are getting better but they have some roads to still climb and trying to perform under playoff pressure. The Phoenix Suns might've swept this team as well and they didn't even make the playoffs in the west despite a similar record.

The Nuggets are legit, but in the first round, they played an injury plauged Hornets team and a team that was in a major late season slump since the All-Star Break. They just packed it in in some games without giving an effort what so ever. The game 4 121-63 blowout comes to mind. Also the game against the Jazz when they were down 27 at half time and gave the Jazz its only win above .500 on the road vs. a playoff team. Then they played the Mavericks in which they don't play a lot of good defense, and also if game 3 was called correctly on that last play, then it might've been 3-2 Denver or 3-2 Dallas going into a game six.

Cleveland and Denver has a better record then the Lakers in the playoffs, but the Lakers faced MUCH harder competition to this point. The Rockets and Blazers are considerably better than the Mavericks, Hawks, Pistons and Hornets. Its not even close.

oh rly? Lebron is actually slower than Kobe, he's just stronger and bigger. Artest actually matches up better against Lebron than Kobe. Remember the regular season game where we dominated the Cavs? Artest was on Lebron like shrink wrap

No freaking way? How about physics? LeBron is bigger, has to move more mass, and has to move a wider body (so he has to travel farther to get around somebody) than both Kobe and Brandon Roy.

Kobe is slippery and quick like McGrady used to be - and trust me, I'm NOT a Kobe fan. Please be real and understand how LeBron dominates - he's really fast FOR HIS SIZE, and really strong FOR HIS HEIGHT. But you give up something when you add bulk - ask Shaq and Yao and Artest.

By the way, LeBron isn't likely to have the same longevity as a lighter person of his stature - so he needs to start winning now and keep winning if he wants GOAT status. He may have GOAT status as a teammate - it looks like a lot of fun to be on his team.
