Agreed. If Fish was getting a foul called because Mason kicked back into him and it was more like a brush then why isn't Manu called for tripping and mugging Ariza on the other end? There were some frustrating calls at the end like Bonner getting away with 2 5 second inbound violations and Timmy being awarded timeout when he didn't even have the ball in his hands

Do you mean that nocall on Brent Barry? The one where Barry clearly lifted his pivot foot and travelled, that was a bad call and it was in favour of the Spurs, you can watch that as many times as you like but Barry travelled before contact so that no call your trying to put against the Lakers, was infact, for the Spurs and not the Lakers.
If I was building a team, it would look like the lakers. A tall, long, atheletic , versitile team. Secondly, the spurs will get trounced again in the playoffs by La unless La loses 2 major componets.
Wow, I just realized how much the Lakers (fans) hate Fisher, it's like us hating Rafer. But I think I'll still take Fisher over Rafer, at least he can hit some clutch shots.
As "clutch" as Fish can be from time to time, he makes equally bonehead mistakes too. case in point would be going for the steal against Mason and then "fouling" him trying to recover
Even in the commercial above he looks like a smug b*stard. He almost did it again last night. Gotta give the man some props.
rockets fans are blaming the refs for calling a one sided game, giving a superstar superstar treatment, and for generally being not very good at their jobs. all of which has nothing to do with Rafer Alston being a horrible starting PG. As for this thread, I mean good lord, Kobe is ridiculous. I don't like him, never have, but damn can i see that there is no comparison - he and Lebron are so otherworldly its ridiculous.
What don't you get? If the refs called it fairly, it wouldn't have come down to Rafer's free throws. We beat you in every facet of the game except free throw attempts, and we still lost. Get it?
if it was so rigged and one sided why was Alston rewarded with a foul call? why was he sent to the line? isn't that easiest way to score points? So they send him to the line to add more pressure so that he chokes?
The thing is that we got hardly any foul calls, whereas Yao got 3 or 4 very bad calls, causing him to sit out. If we Yao got the same treatment as Kobe did, then we may well have won this game. Look at the boxscore: http://www.nba.com/games/20090113/LALHOU/boxscore.html 14 to 23 fouls, in other words, the you guys got 50% more calls. If we had a few foul shots, this game may have been ours. And Rafer just sucks, we all know that. But he got the call because he did get slapped on the arm as he went up for the putback. If that wasnt called then the game would've been even more one sided. But that one possession doesnt cancel out all the other bad calls in the rest of the game.
and yet the same refs were holding their whistles earlier because they were favoring the Lakers, right? Come on make up your mind. And in regards to Rafer, The Rockets got an opportunity to have a direct impact at the outcome of the game (every point matters but im just saying at that critical juncture where those FT's could've forced OT), so not taking advantage of opportunities when openings are available can't be blamed on refs.
