Well at least the Clippers' win streak will force the media to mention the Rockets a little more every time they bring out the all-time longest win streaks.
^ Haha, that's looking at the bright side of things Looking at their schedule it seems like Golden State, Denver, or the Lakers have a chance to stop their streak before it matches ours. Of course it might be something strange like Utah!
Hey guys we play the Clips on 15th of next month, what if??? Both our streak continues until we meet each other???? How big a game would that be??? How epic would it be for us to snap theirs and continue the reign with our own streak??? Can a boy dream, can he?? Go get em Lassie!!!!
The 15 game win streak has been mostly against bottom feeders. Minnesota Timberwolves Sacramento Kings Utah Jazz Dallas Mavericks Phoenix Suns Toronto Raptors Chicago Bulls Charlotte Bobcats Milwaukee Bucks Detroit Pistons New Orleans Hornets Sacramento King Phoenix Suns Denver Nuggets Boston Celtics A few wins against teams that might make the playoffs but none of those are contending teams like Spurs, Thunder, Heat and the Bulls won't contend without Rose. They are definitely better than the Rockets, but I'm just saying, the win streak has been again pissed poor competition. I mean every win streak is going to have that argument against it but they should have played a few elite teams in the mix here and there. They haven't played any so far in the streak. I know they beat some earlier in the season, I'm just talking about the streak. In 2008 when we went on our 22 win streak, we had beaten the Cavaliers twice, Hawks twice, Mavericks, Hornets and Lakers. At the time, they were the teams to beat in the NBA. Next up the clips have Utah Twice, Nuggets, Warriors, Lakers, Warriors, Mavericks, Magic. With that schedule, they could possibly break our 22 game record. The warriors are looking good this year but still a team the Clippers can probably beat.
I won't bet my car on any specific team beating the Clippers soon... just can't think of any team now. They will eventually lose a game, but to whom?
Wow, so close. On one hand, I was hoping their streak would end tonight so it doesn't get close to ours. On the other... I like seeing Utah loose...
So was that last play a foul by Barnes on Foye? I don't think it was, but like the broadcast team mentioned, "consistency!" There was less contact the prior play on Paul.
And yet, no one mentions that. I remember how everybody, including BSPN, was saying the Rockets win streak was against bad teams. But when it's the Clippers they are legit. Tthe Rockets average point differential was 14 points during their streak. The final game they beat the Lakers by 22. The Clippers are only winning by 2 points against bad teams.
If the Lakers don't beat the Clippers, I think the next possible game they'll lose is against Memphis. That would make it 23...
