1. Author directly says the exact opposite of the topic title. 2. PG = Paul George. Fail thread is fail
Idiots. The fact is Gasol+Howard > Gasol+Kaman. It's not so difficult to comprehend it's not one OR the other. They could have both.
Plus Gasol will let Kobe lay hands on him and shove his face, while Phil stares off pretending not to notice (sorry I don't know how to inlay the utube video...) I guarantee D12 would not have allowed that crap....
TL;DR Pau Gasol is a b**** that the Lakers and Kobe can abuse and disrespct whenever they feel like therefore he's better than Howard
Honestly I have argued for years that Pau is one of the top 4 centers in the NBA. The man has been totally misused by the Lakers. And there was that rumor that if Morey had obtained Pau he would have tried to sign Nene. Morey is way, way smarter then that. So the Lakers have turned a sure HOF player into one that will need luck to make it there. And honestly if his health holds up, I think he will again be a top four center in the NBA next season.
I am not even going to say anything. You know which side I come down on. But do please respect the 2 rings the man has.
Lol they talk about loyality yet the amnesty metta the man who won them that championship and also in that loyality rant they talk about D'antoni yet where was the laker loyality to phil Jackson... Where was the loyality to pau when they tried to get CP3 Article is more flawed than the Chuck Hayes's free throw action
Do you respect the 2 rings that Gasol has equally or less than the 5 that Derek Fisher has? How about the 2 that Luke Walton has? Is that equal to Pau's 2? I love the rings game.
God it kills me when writers mix nouns and verbs in a list. Apparently Pau can loyalty better than Dwight.
lol the lakers were preparing to amnesty pau to re-sign howard and lakers fans were all for it.. now its "we love you pau, youre LOYAL..
Pau will have no trouble making the Hall of Fame. Keep in mind it's the "basketball hall of fame", not the "nba hall of fame." The man has won 2 NBA championships with the Lakers, 2 world cups and a Eurobasket trophy with Spain and has been named either MVP or Allstar at some point in pretty much every competition he's been in. He's, together with Manu and Dirk, one of the greatest international players in recent memory. He's practically already in there.
Eh, the article's title sounded pretty bad, but if you actually read it it's not too bad, considering it's a Laker fan's perspective. It's more of a "bright side" article.
Typical Laker fan article. Typical Yahoo! article. If we are talking about Gasol, I do actually like his game. And (so far) Gasol has a more impressive body of work and career than Howard. If they were the same age (and assuming Howard's plateaued), I'd actually prefer Gasol over Howard, only because Gasol had a better repetoire and could play either the 4 or the 5. I think he took a lot of unnecessary flak this year, and that his reputation for being soft is a bit undeserved and exagerrated. That in mind, I'm still exuberant we got Howard.
funny, it was the other way around. We called Dwight crap and overrated; well, before he was in Houston anyways
