Team play wins over individual play.

    Good game, great result.

    Man I loved watching Wade

He is just so amazing and QUICK. "Flash" is the perfect nickname for him

He reminds me of Francis in his first couple years in the league

I don't think he even needs that 3 point shot. Its so much harder to defend a guy who can kill you by either taking it to the basket or hitting that midrange shot, just like Jordan. MJ never needed that 3 pointer, because he could get a higher percentage shot every time by hitting the 15-20 footer.

Disagree. You've got some holes in your logic.

First, Jordan was able to keep the defense honest because he was a good 3 pt shooter. Subtracting Jordan's years with the Wiz, he had a career 36.4% 3pt FG%.

Secondly, for most of his career, Jordan didn't play against zones so he was single covered strongside (when he had the ball on the perimeter). Todays NBA zone allows all defenders to shade the player with the ball or even double him without the ball. It probably wouldn't have stopped MJ, but it's very tough on mere mortals.

Lastly, most of todays' players haven't acquired the "stop & pop" shot let alone the mentality.

I like Wade and he'll be very good but he's not MJ and Flash does need a good 3 point shot.

I don't know that I would call MJ a good 3-point shooter. For a 2, his range wasn't that breathtaking. He could certainly heat up from time to time though.

Wade will need to improve his range over time. For the moment he can get away with it, but that's partially due to the new 'no contact on a slasher' rule. I won't go so far to say that he needs to be deadly from the arc, but he will need to be able to 20 footers.

No freaking kidding. I remember Jordan hitting 6 threes in a row on Clyde da Glyde's 1990 Blazers. At times he played like a man possessed. Damn I hated him!

Yeah, he changes the game but he's not nearly as dominant as before.

I remember hearing lots of comments on how Shaq would probably lead the league in scoring in the East.....those comments have stopped.

Watching the Lakers play I was reminded at how much I couldn't stand Rudy's isolation offensive schemes. While I love the guy, he has to run the most boring offensive sets in basketball.

Or at least the 2nd most boring thanks to Van Gundy.
