They did choke, in the same way they did last year. That is, they are not what they were cracked up to be and what so many fawners in the media wanted to be. In other words, the "Juggernaut" LA team that is supposedly so much better than everyone else doesn't exist, and never did. With this series going 7 games, and LA on the brink of elimination, that unstoppable LA image and team 'choked.' They have been exposed for what they are. And Houston has been shown to be what it is -- tough and gritty, fight to the end. I could not believe how many people picked LA against the Celtics last year. I hardly watched hoops last year and after just a few games of the playoffs I knew BOS would take LA out because they are so much mentally and physically tougher. If LA gets to Cleveland (assuming CLE is in the Finals), Cleveland's guards and LeBron will shred their perimeter defense. People won't expect it, and will pick LA again, and then they'll wonder why Fish and Kobe are getting killed off the dribble again and again and again. It's amazing how people fall for the hype, and believe what they want. Go Rocks!

I don't know how one could say the Lakers did a choke job on this game. A real choke job would be if they had built a big lead on the Rockets, let it get away because they played not to lose, then I would say the Lakers choked on this game. The reality is that the Lakers never led at all throughout the game.
