I might get flamed for this but the Rockets are in need for a center to back up yao. Brad miller is not the answer, he is too old, too slow, too ineffective on defensive end. Heck at this point of his career Miller is just a more experience David anderson. I think Kyrylo Fesenko is the best cheap center in this years free agency class. His playing pretty good against denver too. What do you think will Morey go after him this summer? Is he even Rockets answer for a backup center?
To the above^ well, you wouldn't have seen much since Sloan barely plays him! from what I've seen he defends hard, the only problem with him is his work ethic from what I hear he's a bit lazy, so with the right coaching he could become a good player. That is why Sloan doesn't play him much.
I'd take Miller for the Veteran's minimum. But, if teh price is high, I say we pass. If Fesenko will sign for peanuts, then I'd definitely consider it. He'll get better with time and can be a serviceable back-up.
Though center, effective player, and still young. Not great stats, good presence, good contribution. It is a possibility.
there's a thing called spacing that Miller needs. He's not going to get it in chicago with Drose standing at the 3 pt line.
