If Wall goes in place of Kyrie, is that an upgrade?

I want no part of Kyrie. Him, Simmons, and current Harden are what is wrong with the NBA today.

I can’t think of a player that would be more difficult to root for and trust than Kyrie Irving. And that’s in a league with guys like Ben Simmons, and Russell Westbrook.

He’s as crafty a scorer as I’ve seen from someone with a PG build but completely unreliable from BOTH a personality and a health perspective. The guy couldn’t even stay healthy for a season at Duke for crying out loud and has never really even had to be a guy who would be the sole offensive creator where defenses would target you with 2 or 3 defenders and throw their most physical defender at you on a nightly basis.

Then there’s the off the court crap. I have no desire to claim to be a fan of a team whose face of the franchise is an antivax nut who thinks the world is flat.

    Hard pass.

After reading all of these bias opinions on why we DON'T want Kyrie Irving, I haven't read one person say he's not a damn good basketball player.
If the trade is Wall, then it's a no brainer.
If the trade is giving them back their own pick, then it's still a no brainer.
There is no way you pass on a future HOF because he won't get vaccinated, No Matter What You Think About Covid.
The man clearly still has his "Uncle Drew" skills, and as a pure ROCKETS fan, I would love to add him to our team.

Kyrie has sabotaged or acted a fool in every organization he’s been with

yeah, he’s good, but his impact doesn’t match his skills…BK is where he actually wanted to be, and yet he still can’t help himself from fcking things up

not sure what being a pure ROCKETS fan has to do with anything, that’s a weird flex

Of course he is a damn good basketball player. So is Kevin Durant. How did that work out for Brooklyn?

You pass on him because he is a nut job, doesn't give a crap about his team (or the world at large), scores but doesn't defend, and as a result contributes nothing to winning. Oh, and he plays the same position as your two best players.

He may be your anti-science hero, but No Matter What You Think About Covid, he would be a horrible fit for the ROCKETS despite his "Uncle Drew" skills.

The simple fact is you can't trust Kyrie Irving to play. He will miss games for various reasons, and sometimes no apparent reason and no explanation.

And his stupid comment, "I don't really see us having a head coach."

It's too much drama with him.

I don't want him around and leading the young guys the Rockets are trying to develop.

    Kyrie can shoot/PG
    Green can shoot/SG
    KPJ can shoot/SF
    Ben Simmons??/ POINT FORWARD
    Sengun can shoot/C
Looks good to me. Those attitudes will be different with a younger more explosive team that's ready.

I'd be all for Kyrie on this team as a player. But I think he is just a little too old for my preference and he has only averaged 55 games a year for his career. So, I think I would pass on him at this point.

If I were trading for a veteran as a main piece, I'd probably be putting a cap at age 27.
