    Unless he gave up Maxey, there is no other package Morey could have offered to beat the Dallas offer. I would not give up Maxey for unstable Kyrie, no freaking way.

    Good move for Dallas for this year

    The problem for Dallas is that they have to convince Luka to stay tied to a serial franchise arsonist (if he is extended) on the down side of 30.

    Maxey is really good at 22 years old, but he’s not in the same timeline as Joel. They have their best chance to win in Joel’s peak window. I think it’s likely this version of Kyrie is better than Maxey’s ceiling.

    If that's his ceiling then Maxey should be worth 2 unprotected 1st picks, which seems like too much for 1 year rental.
    With Irving there, they'll have three "alphas" vying for dominance.
