    Was anybody else seen this?!! :eek:

    He had 17 in da fourth quarter, almost single handily brought da cavs back to beat NY, game was lost when andy v missed a free throw to wend it to OT

    All those points is nice but is he really helping his team? Everyone else gets so few shots, no one ever gets into rhythm. Maybe that's why they lose a lot.

    Really? Except for maybe Bill Simmons, Irving was the consensus no. 1 pick in the draft. He seemed like CP3 2.0 in college before he got injured, and by all accounts his maturity and leadership were already in full display before the season started (picked his agent based on how agent said he was gonna help Irving give back to the community, instead of LBJ's agent which was all about the $$$).

    Alot of people on this board viewed Irving as a borderline all star before the draft. You can even look up the comments. Lots of people pegged that draft to be really weak with no surefire star.

    I do watch him play, he doesn't elevate his teammates like true superstars do, at least not yet.
