The absolute dream scenario would be KD leaving/retiring after this. Just imagine the picks. Salivating at the thought.

I would like to think Harden leaving the Nets is a real possibility, but I know it isn't, so I won't even entertain this report. Now, if Durant gets some catastrophic injury during the season, then I guess I could see Harden entertain leaving, but I highly doubt it.

Kyrie, maybe. Lets see what happens with these mandates over time. That **** has been dynamic this whole pandemic.

If they win this season, probably worth it.

Who could have predicted that 3 ball-dominant stars, including one who has mental problems, and one who is a semi-hedonist, would ever have chemistry problems? Rafa Stone, that's who. Let's the high draft picks roll in!

    Man that would be unreal.

How funny would it be to happen to the Nets TWICE.

I'd love to see it but this is just some rando speculating. He has no info on Harden.

I wonder if any part of Stones mind considered the Kyrie effect when deciding between Nets and 76ers…

I will repeat what I posted last year. Kyrie was likely the odd man out AND if the Nets did not win with all the outs they had in contracts they all may be out of there after this year. Durant is going to have a lot of pressure on him this season. He signed that contract for MANAGEMENT to give them some leverage on Kyrie and Harden. It didn't work. There is a remote possibility but a real one....If the Nets don't win and Kyrie and Harden are heading for the exit what do you as the Nets do when you have no cap and Durant says he wants out. All those cheap OLD FA go and you are left with everything else. You contact a team to trade Durant that owns your future. If things go south I do think Harden wants to come back here and I think he could pull Durant. You can have whatever opinion you like but the NBA is musical chairs and just like we looked like dogsh1t after Harden left, tables turn quickly. Another lotto pick and a treasure chest full of assets are the target that Harden and Durant would covet. In Brooklyn they have been playing GM. Its not so unlikely they would be welcomed here with open arms to do the same things. LBJ gets what he wants to help his team. Players will draw players. We sit in the catbird seat. We get the last of the last generation of stars to rebuild quickly and have long term assets or we can lose out on the last of the this generation and build with all of the assets we have. The key is that more than $60M to strike in FA.
