Instead of posting here, we all SHOULD getting ready to hand out Thanksgiving turkeys to underprivileged tomorrow. Instead of watching the next Rockets game, you SHOULD be at your local community clinic organizing a blood drive There is ALWAYS SOMETHING that you "should" be doing better in place of what you're doing. It NEVER ENDS. Thats why heightened set of standards most the time is BULL. Its usually self serving, its rarely about ethics or about betterment of anything. Every single person in the country is an armchair expert on what the next person should be doing. And they all have different opinions. You can't appease everybody. Yes you can tell someone in Twitter what they should be doing, its your liberty and the other person puts themselves on Twitter to receive comments. And the other person has right to tell you to stick it. I don't blame Lowry one bit.
he shouldn't be posting about goofing off when he is playing as bad as he is playing right now and the team is not winning. I know people have life outside of work but when your boss said you are not performing up to par and he see you facebook or twitter about going out to party or doing some other things its just pisses them off. He should have reply that he just got done doing 4 hours of shooting drill and now he needed to rest his arms, that would have come off better than the smart ass comment he gave.
When someone pays me $5M a year to hand out meals, I'll be all over that. I'll practice my ass off delivering each tray in world record time. With great compensation comes great expectations...
The man went to get a damn game. So basketball players aren't allowed to do anything that is not basketball related? Goodness I can't believe what I read on this board at times.
I am glad he is playing games, obviously...... But if you are going to be in touch with fans personally, on the internet, you have to expect some of this stuff. Especially when you just signed a big contract, and are not playing as well as you can. The OP did something pretty funny, and KLow responded with a fairly thin skinned response.... Either way, it was pretty danged funny. DD
What is Chase Budinger doing right now? If he's doing anything other than praciticing 3's I'm going to be so mad. Oh, and Aaron Brooks better be watching game tape to learn how to defend the PnR instead of going to Target or anything like that!
When you are on twitter, and you are not playing well, this is what you get, there is no crying about it later. Don't be a puss.....just take it, and realize some fans are going to say stuff like this. If you want to be on Twitter, you have to expect it....... Imagine what Lebron or Ocho Cinco get in tweets? Kyle is only getting a little of the frustration of the Houston fans.... He is a big guy, he should be able to take it, and roll with it. No need to make excuses for the guy, go out and play better. Maybe some of you fans needs to respond directly to other players you are frustated with, if they are on twitter, feel free, that is what it is for.... DD
LOL nothing wrong with the poster telling him to practice his jump shot since it's the truth. If you are on Twitter and have an account don't expect a constant love fest to occur when things are going bad...
I didn't say that he can't play game, but he has to understand that the team is not doing well and he himself is not playing well. It is better to reply that he has already practice and now he need to take a break. He has to know that part of his job is to interact with fans and keeps them happy, he has to be smarter with the reply to the fan's questions. For example, your child just handed you a report card that said he is failing all of his classes and he ask can he go out and play with his friends? I bet you that most parents would said you need to go up to your room and hit them books, even thought he just got back from school.
Ender, Actually it is not part of his job to interact with fans, it is a personal choice that he is making. He could do what a lot of players do and not bother with it. Since he chose to interact, he has to realize that some fans are nuts, and are going to say anything. Especially when he signed a new big contract and is performing worse than our undrafted rookie free agent. It comes with the territory. DD
I can see everyday common people tweet and people in the media tweet but honestly don't know why famous people or rich people tweet as a personal recreational thing; I mean I know some people are divas or naturally loquacious, but to invite total strangers to interact with you is kinda asking for the worst. I don't go outside and walk up to that bum at the street corner and tell him that I just had a ham sandwich nor do I want him to walk up to me and comment about my shoes or whatever.
Kyle Lowry is free to say whatever he wants on Twitter as long as it's appropriate. At the same time he has to take the criticism from fans... Not a hard concept especially when the team he's playing for literally looks like **** right now.
Good gravy. You're analyzing a tweet. This is about basketball, darling, not about social networking.
