If he's that sensitive to criticism about his game (and criticism based in reality)...why did he open a public twitter account? For 6 million dollar a year....couldn't he be a little more polite with the fans who are, at the end, the ones who pay his salary? Then, instead of saying fans know nothing...he could have said 'I'm already practicing'.... None of you are the source of my earnings...why would it matter to you what I do or don't? BTW, remember, he has a public twtter account, and in a very delicate moment for the team, with him giving such poor performance at 6 mill U$/year.......and posting such trivial, lame stuff about a video game....would you expect that no single fan would be at least bothered a little, enough to ask him to practice his jumpshot?
Lowry is on Xbox for those who were interested. Did some tweet stalking. Type in Klow7 on twitter. you'll see all of the people to respond to Lowry including the OP's twitter account and one other guy who told him to work on his J. Also saw on that search Lowry responded to someone that he was using Xbox.
Lowry isnt a bad shooter, but his reluctance to shoot is his problem. Yao Ming is the same way when it comes to the mid range jumper. When yao shoots without hesitation its like a layup, but when he thinks about the play or passing, its normally a bad miss. Part of being at least a decent shooter is having confidence and just firing. Those of you who think you can outshoot lowry, you're sadly mistaken.
You dont even know who he was responding to...the OP assumed or thought it could be him, but as poor as lowry and the team have been playing he's sure to get more than one negative comment. Just think about all the stupid comments made here. Like you said, it's a public acct, so he may have a lot of people hating in a senseless manner...not to mention he went out to get the video game before that comment, so he could be responding to something a fan said to him at the store that looked like they've never picked up a basketball in their life.. What exactly is so lame about his remark? So he went and got a game, big deal. He's not the one being sensitive here, it's the fans who think they own him 24/7. There's 24 hours in a day, he could have put in hours of practice in already. Besides, they played friday, in toronto, have to fly down here, get some sleep and some rest. You can't expect them to be going through full practices with so many injuries and 2 days between games where guys are playing 35 minutes +. So for all we know he shot around instead of lifting or doing conditioning and got in a lot more shooting than usual. He also didnt even say "fans know nothing". It only comes across as rude because you changed his quote. I'm pretty sure at some point your salary gets paid by customers or people in general. Do you mind if i ask what you do or what area you work in? And finally, his latest tweet! got a workout in early today been sitting around watching film and basketball. gonna play ops later!!
he'll probably give it up after like 30 minutes...cant imagine lowry being any good at a shooting game.
rv6, you used to be a one sided poster, now you have alot of objectivity to your post. Good deal, welcome to the darkside
The slyly slipping in a jab making it look nonchalant, then the nonchalant backing out "why you mad, all in fun!". Then still trying to look cool throughout it all like you didnt intend to make a moment of it, oh please lol.
i've always been pretty objective, i think you're just paying attention to more of my posts that aren't battier-related
i don't see lowry being a bad jumpshooter a problem since he isn't a volume jump shooter. in fact he only takes about 2-3 jumpshots a game. thank the lord he's not rafer alston!
As bad as some players look, even end of bench guys I always say they're in the NBA for a reason. Mostly wing players I'm talking about, though even the tall raw projects can count. Seems to me plenty times some pro players show woeful skills on the NBA level, but when those same players play local pickup ball even the older players their BAD skills is still much better than most regular people. It wouldnt surprise me to see Shane Battier on the local court all of a sudden showing adequate ball handling.
So if you were a celtics fan, would you tweet to Shaq that instead of messing around dressing up and stuff, he should practice his FTs? and also, the players have lifes outside the basketball court, they are not in the court 24/7, they have to rest, and he wants to rest by playing some xbox, its ok. if you say in your tweeter Im going out tonight!, and then your boss, says "why are you going out if you got a lot of work to do, next week, you should be working!" that would be allright?
Those that have played college to pro basketball, are exposed to so much more basketball intelligence, than all the armchair GM's in the world. Folks on this website could not have a basketball conversation with a college/professional coach, without looking like an idiot... Most coaches played college ball... When you start talking about 9's, 6 downs, 6 ups, 66's, 7's, and all the other aspects of a read and react system, (One I have grown up on) it gets much more in depth than fans can imagine. To tell Kyle Lowry to go shoot, when he has probably taken a thousand jumpshots a day for years and years of his entire life, is absurd.
This is really nothing new. He's always been a bit sensitive to criticism...even when it's jokes. Lowry whats good my ppl? im just chilling in the crib watching the playoffs wishing i was in them againbut since im NOT lets work on the golf game http://twitter.com/Klow7/status/12493914875 Me @Klow7 how about u work on an outside shot instead...jk http://twitter.com/Mickey_Angelo_/status/12494006947 Lowry anyone who hasnt played an 82games season and pre-season and is telling me i should be working out please dont lol ppl just dont know!! haha http://twitter.com/Klow7/status/12494316255
I challenge Klow7 to a game of horse. With the amount of bricks he lays, he shouldn't be talking trash about folks never picking up a basketball.
