Les' open wallet guarantees DM and us who we get, but when we can get the same stuff for less, why not?

These 2 guys aren't idiots, money saved is still money man. Let's say Bobcats offered Lowry a 4 mil/year contract, all we gotta do is match it, instead of making an offer in the range of MLE of 6-7 mil for the same player. You know what I'm sayin?

This makes a lot of sense.

He's feeling like a lot of teams, including the Rockets, are just viewing him as an afterthought and nobody is really making a hard run at him ... when the reality is that is just the nature of restricted free agency.

The Rockets just want to save as much as they can on him and no other team wants to sacrifice signing other free agents to wait to see whether the Rockets will match on him.

Both Lowry and Scola got the minimum qualifying RFA offer from the Rockets, now's their time to test the market. Hope no team offers something like what Isiaih Thomas would do, signing Scola for the max, rofl.

I say the Heat experiment fails by Febuary and LeBron comes to HOUSTON

Amazing why nobody signed the black Lebron James yet when other scrub PGs like Duhon get millions!

Sorry should have been more clear, I meant his last few tweets have been cool and calm but he seems to be lashing out in this one at something.

    Definitely not the same.

A happy Lowry is not the same as an unhappy Lowry.

the rockets did offer him a low offer...they have to in order to exercise the restricted part. It's suppose to be low though, that's well known and expected. Lowry isnt going to get upset by that.

Y'all have to understand that these proceedings are typical. Agents and the teams know what the negotiations usually will be like for RFA and FA...they have a pretty good idea of the timetables involved, so im pretty sure lowry's agent has explain it to him, if lowry didnt know already, but he probably did. There's really no reason for lowry to vent over something he expected all along, especially after Morey declared he'd match offers.

Well, everyone knows that DM has been given orders to keep him along with Scola and it isn't like his name was in trade talks and in a few of the trade rumors that went around the Rox camp...his name never came up,

So that eliminates us from his problem...

You guys are once again overthinking things (Like with the whole Bosh situation) if you think he's referring to the LBJ situation. He's talking about Houston. If its right infront of you sometimes you don't need to read between the lines!

This is bad.. I like Lowry.:(

I forgot about how much Duhon got paid.

Regardless of all this tweet business, once the market plays out, if Lowry's best offer is anything less than what Duhon got, Morey may be better off to actually up the ante and offer Lowry a full MLE type deal for 5 years. That would likely mean the end of Brooks but if Morey sees Lowry as the guy, it probably wouldn't be a bad way to go.

Given Lowry's age and ability, it may look like a steal in a few years. Even if we somehow landed a better PG (say CP3), Lowry would still be a valuable trade asset at that price. You could even argue that he'd be a valuable backup at that price. There are a lot of 6th men around the league that make more.

Lowry at MLE for 5 years while he can not even find a take in such an inflated market?

what kind of joke is that?

The fact that he's an RFA is a big factor. If he was a UFA, things would be entirely different. We're not the only team aware of Lowry's ability.

Plus, there have been some rumors that teams are interested... the Pacers and Blazers.

Lowry is significantly better than Duhon. If he was a UFA, he'd certainly get at least what Duhon got.

Then, you also have to factor in upside. Lowry was our most impactful player last season. Imagine what he could do as a starter. Getting him locked into an Ariza type deal may end up being a bargain. I value Lowry much more than Ariza.

I just told him the Rockets wanted him and he is an important piece to a title run.

Sign and trade him to Indiana as a package for Granger. Win win situation for both teams if you ask me.

It's very important we sign him and Scola. It's a HUGE blow if we lost one of them.

Money. He wants a new contract and he wants it NOW. Lowry sees guys like Haywood getting signed for major dollars and does not understand why he isn't signed yet. If you are a player or agent, I would think Morey's patience could drive you insane.

If Lowry thinks using twitter is going to force Lowry's hand, he has another thing coming. Morey holds all the cards and can wait it out as long as he wants.
