He knows how Morey feels about him so I'm not going to be quick to assume he's talking about himself.

    -Morey traded for him.

-Morey openly talked about how he was our most impactful player last season.

-Morey openly said that he would resign him no matter what.

He has to understand what it means to be an RFA so I'm going to assume he's talking about LeBron until it's clear that he's not. He may have removed the pic simply because he's currently a free agent and he's not sure how things will play out. He wants other people to make offers to create some leverage so it's better to act like he's not tied to Houston.

Whats probably happened is Lowry asked for a starting spot and a pay raise. Morey offered nothing outside of the qualifying offer and is simply waiting to match whatever sheet he signs, ala Landry with the Cats a few years back, thus assuring he pays the absolute minimum to keep him.

Lowry could be a starter.....on a bad team....or he could be the sixth man on a really good team. It's up to him (kinda) but I hope he stays here.

Its a cut throat business, but thats just kinda Morey's style. We need to do our part and make sure Lowry knows us fans desperately want to keep him here in Houston.

I want to keep Lowry. He's the closest to a pure PG this team has.

I'm pretty sure he knows he's wanted here by the fans.

If he's tweeting that because of his desire for a starting spot and more money, then fans saying "we love you Kyle... stay in Houston" isn't what he's looking for and won't sway him.

If that's the case, it's all about starting and getting paid and only Morey can help accomplish those things.

    Nobody knows the exact reason.

Just means he wants to play for a team that wants him.

That doesn't mean he thinks the Rockets don't want him.

    Clearly things went wrong.

Houston do not want to pay Lowry.
Lowry has no desire playing for Rockets any more.
Lowry want to sign a contract but he is upset that Morey might match it.

Best ending: Lowry scores a big contract somewhere else and Morey wont match it.
Worst ending: Rockets overpay an unhappy Lowry.

Remember how Morey played hard ball with Carl Landry after his first season with the Rox? He had to sign with Bobcats only to be matched later on, this might be another one of those maneuvers by DM to deflate Alexander's wallet a lil less.

We did it for Bosh, now lets do it for our own players! We need to show Kyle & Luis some serious love.

They want to feel like LBJ, lets get it done!

This is the way I see it: if this is indeed about his contract situation/negotiations with the Rockets, then he's a bit turned off by how it's not really being given the light of day (as far as we know).

I suspect that Morey may be focusing on adding key pieces, and that re-signing Lowry and Scola is a foregone conclusion. In a sense, this would be a wise strategy, since capturing free agents is a relatively time-sensitive issue. On the other hand, re-signing Scola/Lowry (which, as we all know, Morey said that we would definitely do and that Mr. Alexander has given him the green light to do so) is more of a formality, consisting of matching offers from other teams if we need to or just talking numbers and then reaching an agreement.

The Rockets probably have offered him a low contract. He doesn't like the offer. Other teams have probably said they may offer a contract higher than what the Rockets have offered, but they will go after unrestricted FAs first as Rockets will match. Lowry is frustrated that he'll have to wait for another team to exhaust all other options before he gets what he perceives is a fair deal or the best deal possible as all other FA money has dried up. The Rockets will then match and have him as a backup.

I don't care what he tweets. If we want him, he is ours.
