I've read a post on r/nba just two days ago where someone made a poll in each sub of the 30 teams and asked them to name the best overall players in franchise history. Lowry won in the raptors sub, some of them gave an explanation: "Kyle Lowry in a landslide. Olajuwon is the best basketball player to wear a Raptors jersey. Kawhi Leonard had the highest peak of anyone wearing a Raptors jersey (2019 playoffs). Vince Carter had the best season (00-01) and will be the first hall of famer to go in as a Raptor. Demar is the franchise leader for total points. None of this compares to Lowry’s sustained brilliance as a top 20 guy (top 10 by any “impact” metric) for the past 7 years."
Miami expressed interest in acquiring Raptors six-time All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry and Goran Dragic, Kelly Olynyk and Kendrick Nunn were discussed, league sources told HoopsHype. Dragic, 34, is a one-year Bird player, which gives him veto power over any trade. If he agrees to be moved and his new team declines his team option, his Bird rights get reduced to non-Bird in his upcoming free agency. His new team would be limited to re-signing him to a starting salary worth 120 percent of his $18 million salary for this season. However, that really isn’t a limitation since that $21.6 million figure would be the most he’s ever earned in a season. If he declines a trade, it could also be because he doesn’t want to join a particular team and wants to remain in Miami. Olynyk, who turns 30 in April, has become a full-time starter for Miami this season and will be an unrestricted free agent this summer. The Canadian center also has worked with David Nurse, the nephew of Raptors coach Nick Nurse. Nunn, 25, has proven to be a capable scorer for the Heat averaging nearly 15 points per game during his two seasons in Miami. He’s eligible for a $4.7 million qualifying offer and restricted free agency this summer. https://hoopshype.com/lists/nba-trade-rumors-lamarcus-aldridge-kyle-lowry-ricky-rubio/
The heat are linked to everyone hope they strike out with Riley low ball offers and continue to slide that pick closer to the lottery
Barring an injury to KD or Harden.. I don't ses anyone beating the Nets..Its gonna be impossible to score with those guys.
Unpopular opinion but the teams that receive or received Aldridge, Tucker and Griffin do not improve. Washed.
If the Sixers want him, I think they get him. Their young pieces are probably more attractive (Maxey much better replacement at PG than Herro, Thybulle greater upside than Robinson) for the Raptors. If Miami makes a deal, they will have to overpay, and for a team that's made very few deals over the years and has been reluctant to make trades, I don't see them going all in this time around. If I'm betting, I say they get LMA in the buyout market and settle with the current squad and LMA.
