Not sure what Toronto's asking price is for a Lowry trade now. Likely went up from when they were talking to the Knicks but can it be that high for a 1/2 season rental? I wonder if Morey has any interest in trading for him at the right price. He is an upgrade over the current PGs. More dynamic offensively than Beverley and less out of control than Lin. But I think a team willing to re-sign him long term would be willing to pay more to Toronto than Houston does given that Houston has a realistic shot at the good 2015 free agents.

LOL anybody who thinks we pile on Rudy Gay, the Raptors have gone 7-3 since he's been out of their lineup, and the Kings continue to suck. Dude has a negative impact.
To all the people on here who have said that Kyle Lowry is overrated and wondered why a few of us were so high on him.......this is why. Suck it.
The Houston...Home of developing promising PGs and sending them to a new team only to see them blossom with another team...Rockets.
Lowry and Dragic were really good with Us. I can understand the Lowry trade, since it got us harden, but I think we should have kept dragic. A 4th year option paying him 8 mil seems reasonable.
Yeah we should have kept Dragic in hindsight. I could see why Lin made sense at that time though. He was coming off the Linsanity hyped season and the Rockets literally had no one that could really draw a crowd. Lin brought back the Asian viewers and gave us all something to watch for. Those were desperate times.... ....then we landed Harden and Howard and everything changed.
It will be interesting to see if he can keep the pace up. In past seasons, he has had phenomenal runs early in the season, and then dipped significantly later.
I think it also was so Morey could tank (he didn't know we'd get Harden). Dragic made this team too good to tank, so combining that with the 4th year player option, it wasn't worth resigning him.
Was wondering this also; but at the same time, Toronto has a chance to make some noise in the playoffs. Lowry is probably their best player at this point. Sure, you risk losing him for nothing, but for a Toronto team that hasn't been out of the first round of the playoffs in 13 years that might be a risk worth taking.
With the weakness of guard play in the East right now, is there any reason Kyle Lowry can't make the all-star team?
1. You forgot Brooks, Francis, Cassell, and Floyd (back in the day) 2. I believe the Raptors should keep Lowry and make a push towards the playoffs. The team is fun to watch with Lowry, Derozen, Valaciunas, and Ross.
