I was watching Toronto playing a couple of weeks back. Caught the game as it was in progress.

Lowry brought the ball down 5 times, didn't pass it to anyone, and ended up taking the shot. I stopped watching after that.

Maybe it was a ploy by Toronto to show that they want to keep Calderon, effectively hiking his price tag up if another team wants to acquire him. That would make much more sense than giving up on Lowry after 1/3 of a season.

    Wins with Lowry (MIN, PHO)
Loses with Lowry (IND, BRK, OKC, PHI, CHA, DET, SAS HOU, MEM, DEN, SAC, UTA, LAC and POR) He didn't start the PHI game.
    2-14

Wins w/o Lowry (IND, ORL, DAL, HOU, CLE, DET, ORL)
Loses w/o Lowry (DAL, PHI, UTA, BOS, BRK, SAS)
7-6 (I posted the wrong info earlier)

Let's see IND is a good team, DAL is decent, HOU is good, ORL is decent(beat GSW twice). DET and CLE are bad. So maybe 2 of 7 wins are over bad teams.
The loses with Lowry that should have been wins were (CHA, DET and SAC). So maybe a wash?

I can't comment on Bargnani, but if you're the starting point guard and want to be "the man" on a team you've got to take credit and blame for both wins and loses.

Either way the Raptors are a bad team so both Lowry and Calderon are stuffing the stat sheet.

At the time of the trade, I thought it was a fair deal. Mainly because I figured Lowry would stop complaining once he becomes a starter again. Now, that deal looks like highway robbery. Colangelo probably just put Morey's phone number on his permanent block list.

I'm not sure I can adequately express how funny I thought this was, but I will try. Basically the Raptors board is now talking about trying to trade Lowry for Brandon Jennings. Brandon Jennings.

ClutchFans, I want you to share in the hilarity of this because:

    1. The Raptors' "issues" with Lowry are supposedly with his maturity and "selfish" point guard play. And so this is great, because if there's one player that comes to mind when you think of mature, unselfish point guard play, it's Brandon Jennings! looool

    2. Brandon Jennings is going to command a hell of a lot more money this off-season than Lowry will going into the last year of his very cap-friendly contract. And it's highly unlikely the Raptors are what Jennings had in mind when he spoke of "auditioning" for a contender at the start of this season. So in a way, I almost hope that Jennings gets traded to Toronto and then promptly signs with another team 4 months later, as he most assuredly will, just so that the Raptors get literally nothing for their pick. Not even the extra season of Lowry. Just two rentals in one season of point guards who are better than Jose Calderon but who somehow do not start ahead of him. Because remember that time they beat Detroit?

    3. Since Raptors fans are now invested in the idea of trading Kyle Lowry for a sidegrade who plays the same position the same way but without any defense, I am convinced that they either have zero BBIQ or that whatever brain disease or trauma that has afflicted Raptors management has spread to their fabase as well.

    4. TL;DR: This point guard "controversy" has made it clear that those fans probably deserve that team.

Lowry's now said he's fine coming off the bench. Guess he's realized that his best chance of securing his biggest contract is still with the Raptors and he needs to be a good citizen to do that.

So, do we still assume Lowry leaving was McHales fault?

How is what the Raptors fans are doing any different than the madness of Clutchfans? "Let's get Amar'e!"

    Lowry is one confusing player..........

He started off the season red hot just like last season and people thought he would be an all-star, then a few months later he is on the team shyt list just like here ?!?! This guy has the talent to be a really good player but it just seems that his attitude isn't there.

It will be interesting to see what Toronto does with him.

Is Lowry finally learing how to play team ball? He's been coming off the bench the last 3 games which have all been wins. Tonight against the Blazers he was 0/2 fga. I did a quick scan of his career #'s and I think the last time he had 2 or less fga was way back in the 2009-2010 season.

It looks like Lowry and Calderon are dueling each other to see who is a better "team player".

    Lowry 22 min, 0/2 fga, 2 reb, 9 ast, 2 stl, 2 to, 0 pts.
    Calderon 23 min, 0/1 fga, 1 reb, 13 ast, 0 stl, 0 to, 0 pts.

why would a team trade someone on a nice contract with a 21.9 PER?

Ask the Kings. At some point the premadonna act has to get old.
We have the advantage of being emotionally detached and looking at production alone. Whereas Teams and management have to deal with the human side of things on a daily basis. This is destination number three where Lowry has worn out his welcome, not to mention the ref pegging incident. Dude has issues, he's just not a big enough name to garner the press
