Interesting. Maybe Morey knew what he was doing when he picked Lin over Lowry or dragon. Just maybe, I'm not sure if this Morey character is a smart guy yet.

The Raptors are stupid. They are acting like Kyle Lowry is playing horrible defense and Jose is so much better. The main reason for all of this is Andrea Bargnani. But they can trade Kyle to a better team and keep Jose if they think he's the answer to everything.

This is the problem with the Bargnani injury and the Lowry injury occurring during the same game. Now the Raptors have the player who doesn't play defense out in Bargnani, and think it has something to do with Lowry, who DOES play defense.

If they trade Kyle away and freaking *keep* Calderon, then they deserve everything that happens to them from this point on. Forty years of darkness.

Short list of NBA point guards who are all better than Jose Calderon:

    1. Jarrett Jack
    2. Jerryd Bayless
    3. Kyle Lowry

If the Raptors ever got one of those guys, look out!

This. Haven't seen the Raptors play this year, but in what universe does Calderon play better defense than Lowry.

I'm just sad that I forgot TJ Ford. (Much like the NBA at this point.) :(

What teams even *need* a point guard right now anyway, besides Toronto?

Maybe Utah with the Mo Williams injury? Maybe Dallas?

Houston should trade Jeremy Lin and Asik for Calderon and Andrea Bargnani. Houston has a lot of white people, so he they should be popular.

Nash/Jordan hill for Bargnanni/Lowry? Knowing how the lakers get their way all the time, this is a possibility

Poor Lowry. But I doubt the Raptors give up on him yet. No GM could be justified giving up a lottery pick investment so soon.

Just a ploy to pump up Calderon's value.

Lowry is a malcontent. I bet he is stirring up crap over there in Toronto. Great ball player but doesn't know how to control his emotions. If he could work with McHale and in our system, a Lowry/Harden backcourt would absolutely destroy any defense. It would be a nightmare matchup every night for our opponents. Shame that people can be so flawed but so great at the same time. It's hard to find that perfect balance. I think Harden has it though. He is healthy, has incredible skill and has control of his ego. Perfect player.

Maybe, but who knows what to think at this point when it comes to that dumb franchise.

    1. Trade a valuable first round pick for Kyle Lowry so that he can replace Jose Calderon.

    2. Win some games against heavy hitters like Cleveland and Detroit.

    3. This changes everything!

    4. Trade Lowry away for less than the first rounder you gave up for him to begin with.

    5. Sign Jose Calderon to 5 years / 40 million.

    6. Rename him to "Jose Nash."

    7. Toronto fans will never know the difference!

    8. Cross your fingers that Calderon is even 1/3rd the player Nash was at age 36, instead of just getting older and slower the way all other athletes do.

Wherever he goes, he's probably playing backup, since most teams have a starter. But, there's probably cheaper backups (salary wise) which means Colangelo will have to sell low (typical Toronto).
