Howard wouldn't leave all the extra money on the table. That's around 25mil+ he'd walk away from. On top of that, where would he go and still be competitive? The nets would suck, LA teams can't afford him, and there's no point in going to Dallas if D-will isn't there. He can whine all he likes, but he knows he would be "stuck" here for at least 2 seasons if he wants that max bonus. And there'd be no other team (that could afford him) out there that's better for him to contend if D-will signs.

i would agree if it were any other GM other than the Nets GM. He would probably put him in a commercial in russia and pay him the 25million difference. That guy is known for being shady.
