    Most likely
I suspect the Commish is looking into ways to prevent such 'player tampering'

bucher reports whatever message agents want to put out there in return for access to players off the court. his main gig is writing for espn the magazine and he's good at it.

What a total hack. A perfect example of how everyone other than Woj is a waste of time.

While I don't agree with banning the Heat from doing what they're doing, comparing it to the Spurs is silly. The Spurs signed their deals at separate times they weren't conversing with each other to sign deals that expired at the same time for the better part of 8 years. They were also drafted by the Spurs, Wade is the only one to be drafted by the Heat as Lebron came from Cleveland and Bosh from Toronto.

It's a heck of a lot better than their current lineup. Replacing Chalmers and Bosh with Melo and Lowry is a serious upgrade.

No, he's not. He's 38, plays 30 minutes a game and averages 15/10 and misses about 5-6 games a year due to old age.

It works great for the Spurs system and it helps him extend his career and get the max out of his remaining abilities, but no one would pay him the max for that. You can't build an entire team around him anymore (what you expect of a max player) - the Spurs do it by having 4 guys like that, great role players, and a brilliant system that doesn't rely on individual superstars.

This was post #2, I'd like to point out. Props to Evil Empire, and I guess we could have just ended the thread there.

Bucher should really find a new line of work.

The Spurs are old, players tend to take cuts to win in the latter part of their career. The Heat's players are all in their prime.

Miami was horrible this year. It showed in the regular season.
Their defense regressed, their bench stopped producing, and Wade and Bosh continued their trends of declining, with Wade having to sit out a bunch of games just to stay healthy (and still doing absolutely nothing in the finals).

    only because Chalmers sucks
Bosh is a much better defender than Melo.
but the number of SUPERSTAR Calls Melo will get will balance that out
