All you need is a $15 antenna from Wal-Mart, and attach it to your HDTV. You'll get the KXAN HD signal and great image quality. No need to bother with hooking up a computer or Xbox.

Heroes IS broadcast in HD on KXAN, via rabbit ears.

yeah, just drop the $2 on xbox to get the episode, it cost less than gas for your Ferrari to drive to Wal Mart.

I had cable through Grande when I lived in San Marcos. They gave you a San Antonio and an Austin feed for a few of the broadcast channels. I know we had 2 CBS channels because on Sundays you could watch the Texans on the SA channel and the VY Titans on the Austin channel. Not sure about NBC though.

I have a little square antenna that has a switch for full hi def -- the ones with rabbit ears are for analog, but they will pick up high def as well. Not as good as the little square ones though.

At any rate i'm still getting kxan on cable, but I have Grande' -- FWIW ~ KXAN high def is channel 36.1.

i still keep up with heroes and all but i don't think it's been the same since season 1. it just feels like everything drags on entirely too long now. anyway, back to your dilemma... digital antenna is the best way to go in the mean time, just like everyone else has said.

If you don't want to pay and don't mind SD-like reception, just plug one end of a coaxial cable into the back of your TV and let the other end hang. It acts as a makeshift "rabbit ears" style antenna. That's how I watched Heroes Monday night.
