NBATalk.com is reporting that Larry Brown feels that Atlanta is a pit stop for Kukoc.

Hypothetically, would you make a move for Kukoc if you're the Rockets? He would solidify the 3, can play a little 4, and is experienced. What if the Hawks were willing to take on a package including Cato and picks for Kukoc?

I'm not advocating this move, it's purely hypothetical.

If he plays the 3, he would have to come of the bench or Mobes would have to sit. SA has a starting clause in his contract. [IMG]

I was thinking about this earlier on. I think that Kukoc would be a major step up from Walt Williams. He has that nice mid-range jump shot and he has a move to the basket. He is also a pretty good passer.

I have no idea what Kukoc's contract status is. I wouldn't want to trade for him if it prevented the Rockets from making any off-season moves. But I like Kukoc.

Kukoc is in the first year of a pretty lucrative contract...too expensive and he'll be tied down for at least 4 years...plus he's a crybaby.

No mere no defense playing guys on this team. But I do like his passing abilities but since Mobley & Francis don't play very good D the last thing we need is a 3 who doesn't play D either.

Kukoc would probably give us Pippen-type numbers! He wouldnt look for his shot as much!

For the last time, there's no such thing as a starting clause in a contract.

As for Kukoc, I'm with tod.

I think that there is a starting clause(i believe you can put and kind of clause in the contract that you want to), but Shandon does not have one.

He has more of a handshake deal where he was told he would start.

I know I'm overreacting, but it probably would be a good idea not to throw around terms like "starting contract" in reference to players. After Minnesota, we don't need to risk anything, no matter how small the odds. This BBS gets attention. And as Popeye can tell you, saying the wrong thing may affect more than just your team.

I know playing defense is more than just blocks and steals, but the Bulls were a good defensive team, and I noticed that Kukoc averaged 1.83 steals the last championship year. Was Kukoc not part of that good defense?

I probably wouldn't do it unless assured that Kukoc wouldn't be a defensive liability, especially since we'd be without a backup center with Collier out. If Kukoc didn't pan out, it would be harder to get rid of him than Cato, I think. I bet Cato would have been gone by now if he weren't BYC.

Relativist : Kukoc is a huge defensive liability. He has atrocious defense. And what's more - if he gets burned on the defensive end his offensive game goes into the toilet, making him useless.

The Rockets will be the NBA champions. Believe.
