Has there been someone who says he isn't? He'll probably be the first pick. He would've been the first pick last year and would've been top 3 this year. I don't get the "you're kidding yourself" part.
Peterson or Quinn would have a lot more to prove to break into the top 3 of this year's draft. They could get there, but still lots left to show. Why do you think Quinn is staying? Also, assuming these are 1-2 next year, the Texans would have to work real hard to make sure they would get their chance. They would need to make sure they miss multiple timely FGs, and getting immediate help on the defense and Oline would not help this cause either. Like I said it could be a long time before the Texans have a chance at elite talent like this. The Texans would have to be extra sucky, probably lose most their close games, AND have a loaded draft. Could be 5-10 years, easily.
