Kubiak getting released today?

    Bob McNair: "I am pleased to announce that we have restructured our quarterback Matt Shaub's contract, and he will be the Texans starting quarterback for the next 5 years. Also, we have extended Gary's contract for 2 additional years. I believe that part of the issue with the team is the uncertainty surrounding Gary's future. Now Gary has the security and confidence to do what he does best, coach the Houston Texans.

    As for Matt, well he personifies Texans battle fight. The young man is such a professional and an elite quarterback that just had a bad 6 game stretch. Further, Matt was gracious to cut $500,000 a year off his salary so that we can attempt to replace Ed Reed. In exchange Matt gets the security he deserves.

    Next year we will be a Super Bowl contender. I firmly believe that Gary and Matt are battle fight."

    IF the Texans were to lose to the Jaguars, the Texans would fire Kubiak today. We heard that Monday.

    All in all with people livelihood at stake, you always want the best when someone is fired. But only in sports world where coaching failure has such short term memory to owners. Kubes will probably serve has someone's offensive coord.

    You really can't question his intelligence. Dude is smart...it just didn't work out this year. He will be picked up as an OC this offseason if he wants to work this year..

    Yee, he's gonna call the plays for the 91 Eagles. I'm more worried about Marciano, turns out he's not real or even alive, he's just a ghost that lives at Reliant so I'm not sure he can even travel.
