WELL SAID ...When playoff time comes KTs defense and offense will silence the doubters. Then ,,,even they will know KT IS NOT EXPENDABLE.
have they said yet how long he's out? if it was the hill dunk-attempt where he got hurt, he still played 5 or 6 minutes after that without looking injured. he even made a beautiful spin move hook-shot in that time. maybe it's not too bad?
After you get hurt, your adrenaline and other hormones can mask some pain for quite a while. It's a natural mechanism. I read some accounts of the Bali explosions and one guy ran on a broken foot and didn't realize it was broken by the bomb until after he stopped.
I just viewed the tape at lunch. You're right, BigM: He played for the remainder of the 3rd and scored on that nice move against Hill right after the injury. In fact, immediately after the injury, he didn't even grab his hand. He actually helped Stevie off the floor. Only later did he start holding his hand and shaking it. I wouldn't compare this to Bali people running for their lives on adrenaline. I'd call in a dislocation and not a fracture. It was probably just a bad jam and needed to be popped back in place. That happened to me once, and it kept me out for only 2 weeks as an overly precautious measure by my dad (a doctor). If my dad was trying to live vicariously through my basketball career, he probably would have said, get the hell back out there--you wimp. I figure Moochie's pinky is far more severe.
