wtf! are some white people(bush supporting, truck driving, 'good christian'....you get my point) that stupid?!

if they fear little muslim kids are gonna go to school with their precious little spoiled white kids then i just dont know what to say. this country is just ignorant. or at least those people are(which make up most of this country)

i dont really care about the pig races....but talk about lack of tolerance. sheesh. islam is the fastest growing religion, he better get some more pigs because theres gonna be more mosques.

    and yeah, im muslim.

    "Mooslems" "Far East" ?????

    How embarassing.

As someone who lives remotely in the vicinity of Katy (I live in west Houston), I'd like to personally apologize for this crap to all Muslims.

The video was absolutely hilarious. I've always liked how the Daily Show will mess with both sides:

'What's next - are you going to take over Nebraska?' LOL.

The pig races are not comparable to burning a cross on an African American's lawn. The whole thing is silly IMO.

I think the most populated Muslim country is in what has traditionally been called the Far East.

Would you want a Mosque, and the associated noise pollution, traffic, and visual changes to the neighborhood, behind your house? The fact that this guy lives in the country tells me that he wants peace and quiet, not a huge destination next to his own home. Is that unreasonable?

I'm curious -- will there be a silk purse awarded or will PETA protect the losing sow's ear? Will there be a penalty hocked up if the winner hams it up? Will anyone squeal if they let a blind hog find an acorn in the pork barrel? Finally, do Muslim football players ever touch the pigskin?

do you see muslims/jews/hindus hollering every time a church/synagogue/temple pops up around their neighborhoods?

Just look at Eldridge, it has like 30 different places of worship. surrounded by homes...

if anything it will increase customers to local businesses.

we arent allowed to eat pig...Do Jewish players ever touch pigskin?

however some people prefer not to simply because of the negative connotation of a pig in our society.

Yeah, but Eldridge/Synott wouldn't be considered "in the country" like Katy is. I'm assuming people who live out in the boonies (yes, I consider Katy to be part of the boonies) live where they do partly because they want peace and quiet. I'm muslim too, but I can see TraderJorge's point.

who the hell cares if they want peace.

if there isn't a deed restriction/zoning ordinance why does it matter?

if you want peace and quiet go live in a neighborhood that has deed restrictions. if you can't afford it walk it off.

in that case they should be boycotting LA Fitness, BestBuy, and Walmart from coming into town. and IF ANYTHING, his pig races gather more people, fireworks and traffic than any daily congregational prayer....

That has little to do with the great ignorance voiced by people on the video.

i have a hard time believing these folks would have a problem with it, were it a church instead of a mosque.

If I were a member of KIA, id scrap plans to open a mosque and instead start up a marble/granite factory...
