I'm NOT lying ! I liked KT (and I still do...well...sorta...hell I don't know) so I would not make up a story about him cussing at me and hating on my hometown. Maybe I'd make up a story about AI saying something like that but not Kenny. PS: And I know I wasn't drunk b/c drinks cost like 12 bucks at clubs on South Beach and I'm a law school student in debt out mt @$$ so I can't afford one drink let a lone the several needed to get drunk.
So what if he's on a better team now? Say he got traded to the Jazz?? Not to be sacreligious, but they're a better team than the Rockets right now. Who the hell would want to play with them? He seriously did work his ass off over the summer to drop pounds and fit in better with the Rockets scheme at the small forward, and then they dump him for the most inconsistent, over-hyped small forward in the biz. Hell, I'd take KT over Mo Taylor, EG, or Posey. He's a whole hell of a lot more consistent than those three.
Who cares about KT. KT got criticized, he's nice but not great. He gets traded and all of a sudden we're a power in the West with him? Come on. I'll take James Posey over KT because we need a good SF and Posey is a solid PF. How can Posey be overhyped, don't you have to be hyped up to be overhyped? And Mo Taylor has been on a tear, I'll take Mo over KT anyday if Mo keeps this up. KT got traded to a Finals contender and he's complaining? And I've never seen people make such a big deal over a roleplayer, saying he would have gotten us over the hump. He was solid, but Posey is a solid SF and that is what the Rockets needed, not a 3rd PF.
Posey has some offense with comparably great defensive skills, but not quite honed in to perfection. He could be even better than Doug Christie, Ron Harper, Scottie Quitten, and the small forward of the like. He does it well, but kinda recklessly. Kenny Thomas had only rebounding and offensive high marks. The people he had to defend seemed to always be faster and taller. Dirk, Karl, Tim, and 20 good other PF's would average 20 points. Kenny's average points didn't counter the scoring of the oppenant and actually hurt the Rockets because of his defensive awareness. The Posey and Thomas trade was good, but I bet we could have ripped off the other teams with just one more scrub player. I shop and spend and what money I have left, I make it's spent on something that could be useful in the future.
KT is just mad because the Cavs waived Tyrone Hill and Philly signed him and Hill is now starting! And PHI will probably re-sign Hill for next season.
Man, it always cracks me up to see a guy who makes millions of dollars to play a game get upset about a business decision. Actually, the way Kenny responded to the trade tells you a lot about the kind of person he is. His addition to team chemistry must have been nothing but negative. Anyway, I've seen Eddie Griffin smile more than Kenny Thomas. And, I've only seen Eddie Griffin smile once. Who wants a guy on a team that always looks like he's upset about something. I'm sure the Rockets players didn't care too much for the guy. And, one thing about Rudy, he doesn't tolerate whiners. It is doubtful that Kenny Thomas would have even been picked if the Rockets hadn't picked him. He owes a lot to the Rockets. He should be grateful that they paid him millions of dollars to develop his game on the professional level, and traded him to a decent team. Just think if it would have been Posey for Thomas straight up and he ended up in Denver.
Okay. PLEASE FORGET KENNY THOMAS. He's gone. He doesn't care about his. He hates the Rockets. Just don't talk about him anymore... BUT BY THE WAY....have you seen Eddie becoming more emotional?!? HE'S ACTUALLY CLAPPING WHEN SOMEONE MAKES A FREE THROW. It's great...so emotional.
So I just had to comment on this one. Kenny Thomas. I don't understand how he can be mad at the Rockets. He may be and if he is, he's a PENIS, but when we drafted him a lot of people were unsure about him. We gave him a real shot something a lot of other teams didn't want to do. Most people thought he was undersized (and he is) and while at New Mexico he had a reputation as guy with a bad attitude. He's behaved well in the NBA and I wish him well, but I sure as heck hope he stops ragging on the Rockets, Kenny, we were the ones who gave you your first shot. Without the Rockets you'd probably be in Europe.
honestly, i would rather have KT than MoT. too bad MoT was hurt and way too fat at the time when we need to trade for a SF. we need def and boards more than midrange jumpshots. And also, i think Rockets should stop trying to make EG into a PF. I "think" he is fast enough to be a 3. then we can play posey at 2. and bye bye moochie. haha. my 2nd post on clutchcity.net. goodthing i don't feel as terrible when rockets loses nowadays. remember back in HS i used to get sweaty and pissed and not want to study whenever rockets loses. but i think i'm starting to get that passion back now. GO ROCKETS!!
Maybe Kenny would have preferred to go to Denver where he could be the man on offense rather than sharing minutes at Philly with Van Horn, Skinner, Hill and Coleman. Sometimes it's hard to tell what were Kenny's most important priorities, winning or a contract.
pile a poo.... Larry Brown loves Kenny and appreciates him, he was starting for their large winning streak and playing great ball, before he hurt his ankle and is now back starting and playing starters minutes, Coleman is playing centre, but Kenny is most certainly ahead of Hill and Skinner and still Eggie and MoT
KT isn't and never was ahead of MoT. I very much doubt how much better than Griffin he ever was. Also, TyHill is still starting and so is Van Horn.
Well then I don't see any reason Kenny should have a beef with Houston. The organization sent him to a contender, with a coach that appreciates him and gives him minutes, in a conference where he can excel. What more does he want?
