He should be pissed because we just traded him suddenly. And the Rockets are supposedly a loyal "family". In Philadelphia, he hasn't been doing too bad. It's working out pretty well. He is at small forward along with Keith Van Horn, and then there is Tyrone Hill and Brian Skinner. And now Coleman is at center. They have won 14 of the last 16 games. Kenny never looks happy. But neither does Eddie or Terence. We had to trade him because we wanted to develop Eddie and we had to keep Mo Taylor. And recently, they have both been playing very well. Our small forwards......James Posey and Kenny Thomas both hustle a lot. Kenny Thomas was undersized...and he tried his hardest. But I agree...he didn't fit with us. There were many times when he did all his spinning and stuff and kept on turning around and around and finally lost the defender but was so dizzy that he couldn't score. And many times, he lost the ball. He usually had to have the ball in able to score. And he was going to want money after the season ended. James Posey is inconsistent.....but he kinda fits better. And at least he is motivational at times...at least at times
Hmm ... KT patented spin move or MoT's money jump hook. I think I'll go with MoT's jump hook. Though I never disliked KT. Best of luck to you KT.
I agree... Although, he should be happy that Philly thought highly of him to commence the deal... That's NBA life, never satisified...
What trade didn't happen suddenly? Besides, almost everyone knew that one of the PFs were going to be traded, and KT was the most logical choice. He shouldn't have been surprised by the trade. I don't know all the inside facts (who does?). But I'm pretty surprised that he took it so badly. I thought sending him to the Sixers was the best the Rockets could do for him. And (if Stylez is totally truthful ) he was pretty classless talking like that to a fan who was just trying to make some nice small talk.
You're right. He shouldn't have said something like that to a fan. No manners! But this is if Stylez is NOT lying.
He's mad for being traded? I don't get it, here he was destined to be the 4th option or lower and could barely crack the starting lineup. In Philly he will probably be the starter at some point. Maybe he doesn't like Iverson's ballhogging?
F*** Kenny Thomas I hate his KT, but I can't complain since we traded him for Posey. Posey is MUCH BETTER than KT for this team!!!
Well...we had KT, MoT, and EG at the Power Forward position and we were extremely thin at SF. So KT was the odd man out. Plus he was in a contract year. So it was a business decsion that KT should be mature enough to understand.
I have hated KT since the beginning of last season. Since EG has been here, he's been a jealous little *******. Some of you didn't believe that myth, but this just pretty much confirms it. I don't know why he has this conception that he should be the man at the 4. He's no better than EG or MoT by any means, he and his one-move-spin-move black hole bullsh!t. I literally jumped out of my chair and started celebrating when I heard he was traded. Whoever said 'no one in houston hates you Kenny' - wrong.
The Rockets would not have been struggling to make the playoffs this year if they would have kept KT. So many of the close games we lost would have been wins with him in the game. However, it was the right thing to do as the Rockets were not going to have room for him in the future. I understand him being pissed, he worked his butt off and felt disrespected. He will get over it. DD
Small foward, the same position he is playing in Philly and the same position he played when he was in the game with EG.
I remember that as well. Even Eddie Griffin was on his feet cheering Yao's play, and KT was sitting square on his a$$, looking like his dog just got run over. Some team player.
Finally some reason in here. Why can't most of ya'll just say thanks Kenny for your time here, good luck, and bring on JPo. So what if he feels pissed that we traded him, it is somewhat understandable. What you can't take away is that KT contributed to us while he was here, and he was the key reason we were able to get JPo while only giving up a 2nd rounder. Thus drafting KT and his offseason work ethic helped the Rockets, period. Sure I would have like KT to be more of an nasty enforcer type (then I would have wanted to keep him over Mo and maybe EG) but I can't really blame KT for not being this type of hardened player plenty of other Rockets could do that and don't either. I think KT is going to do just fine in the east. Now we just need JPo to work on a few more consistent spots on the floor for his shot and we will we looking good from the deal too.
