There's a local coffee roaster who will cut off supply of their beans to restaurants with machines not maintained/cleaned to their standards. Don't want their product represented at any less than its best. But KK's are in grocery stores, so IDK theyre even doing that now.

BTW seems like all the local donut places are making lighter, less dense donuts, seems like copying their formula. Makes me kind of enjoy the occasional chewy/denser donut when you find them, especially when chocolate covered. I do like fresh KK though, I just wish, I think they did away with the hot now signs. Patrice O'neal had a funny bit about those signs causing wrecks.

    Sorry about this...

    (don't do it)

I genuinely can't stand that much glaze. More bread less sugar slurry.

It would be like drinking a big bucket of catsup with one french fry in it. The ratio is way off.

Shipleys fresh out of the fryer taste better than cold ones, too. Pretty sure that is the case for every donut ever.

So, if somebody eats these donuts in Minnesota and gets sick, do they get ot sue Krispy Kreme's? They (or their lawyer) will certainly try to go after the company rather than just the college student, right? If so, I kind of see Krispy Kreme's point of view.

Yes, they sell to grocery stores and such, but they have a better idea about the shipping/displaying condition at these stores.

Screw Krispy Kreme...If you happen to be at HEB, pick up a pack of sour cream glazed donuts.

in situations like this people like to vilify the big bad corporation but im sure stores that sell Krispy Kreme pay for that right and that payment comes with an expectation of not having to compete with someone who didn't pay for that right

Krispy Kreme is obligated to go after the non licensed dealers even a kid
